  1. you will get as fine crimp if you open them up carefully then use a rto after you have folded it back down.Done it for years works very well .
  2. Trying not to laugh here .Wee bit cruel but it is true. Its revelation after revelation but somehow it all comes back to boring old steel
  3. would be a lead model i reckon?
  4. i recall using 3.5 eley RTO bismuth 10 bores in a #3 long before it was law to use non toxic.I wanted lead but these were all he had at the time so i bought them. They did drop geese despite the uproar that early bismuth was brittle.Mind u in knowing that i would not have bought them if that information had been available at the time.
  5. LOL Wymber old bean i am interested in a trade if possible as i cannot get gamebore rhinos here at all.And noone ,absolutely no one respects an informer especially when they are barking up the wrong tree.
  6. Is this in the for sales section?I think not.---seriously what are you like!!!!! I like the idea of a trade ---perhaps some 10 bore cartridges for my bismuth? Some people have nothing better to do i reckon.
  7. Make me an offer per box??? They are a #3 shot so quite rare. The shot does not powder and they do kill duck and geese.perhaps 10 rounds of rhino?
  8. i have shot duck with these bismuth 32g #3 and used the shot i took out of some in handloaded 10 bore 3.5" on geese.
  9. I have some boxes of eley bismith #3 grand prix rounds.Fife.
  10. So tps wad casn be used instead of MM in 10 bore?I found an old Eddie Nixon load on another site 10 gauge csbo load 44 grains in a Fed or Remmy case cx2000 primer multi metal wad 44 gram of steel shot. Not the fastest load but its one of the best goose killers I have and several others I know use it to good effect.Eddie I was going for the 44/42 laod for speed but i reckon as long as pressures stay "safe" in the AYA ill be happy with a 44/44 load.
  11. splitting the wad a tad less can improve patterns
  12. i used a yamaha yb100 for my fowling in the early 80's. 20 mile ride out to St Andrews it was ,a lot of it for flock shooting on the incoming tide in the middle of the night A 10 bore plus 4 or 5 greylag was a difficult balance coming home in icy conditions in the wee small hours!!! And by god was it cold with no fancy thermal jackets like you have now.It was the waxproof cardboard jacket with as many woolies as you could wear underneath and still move.Maximum speed was 55mph !
  13. Anyone have a good 10 bore load for using remmy cases.tps wads and cx2000 primer?csb-0 powder btw,I need a batch loaded up for my AYA 10 coming back from being refurbished.
  14. Seriously m8 there is no couple of hundred greylag at guardbridge at this time whatsoever.I appreciate your insistance but im out there day in day out.Anyone in any doubt whatsoever as to what im saying best call the ranger service for an up to the minute update on goose numbers. The only way this could be factual was if they were passing through and roosted that previous night because as i said earlier the greys in big numbers are long gone .I do hope they return but im not holding my breath
  15. vaping is not simply a way to stop its a way to start. That alone is enough reason to avoid it.I curse the man who would encourage someone to start smoking.
  16. I have some reloading gear i have used for decades for the 10 bores but need to pick up a RTO machine or at least the crimper die as my old rto seems to struggle to produce a tidy RTO.So if anyone has 10 bore gear they dont want or are selling message me. cheers.
  17. Full of chemicals.Chemicals that do not belong in your lungs.I lost my maw to COPD a few years back, the most horrible death you can imagine.I did not want my boy to see me die that way.I stopped smoking there and then. The vaping manufacturers are making money just like the tobacco manufacturers. And just like the tobacco manufacturers did back in the 60's they will tell you its safe enough .My lungs are messed up m8,too late for me but if you can --- stay away from vapes of any kind.
  18. Im finding that this yer, like last is not too great on the shore.Im not complaining as im sure duck are about someplace but its been a struggle to see rafts of anything with wings floating about.Weather is simply too mundane.
  19. Henry. You are looking at pinks not greys.Total count just now is 12 and thats high .Last season we had 10 or so.Back in the 80's and 90's we had 500 plus.
  20. Im looking for a csb0 load for my AYA 10.I have primed remmy cases i got from c&g along with cx2000 primers and i have a few other primers around.Along with the clear TPS wads im hoping for another decent RTO load this year if possible. If not a good crimped load.Ill be using BBB most likely.
  21. As long as they have some waist on em.I bought a pair a few years back someplace and they sit half way up my ***.freezes yer back off .I think perchance i need a bigger size
  22. Id have thought a wee bit cotton wool soaked in oil and thinly wrapped round the snap caps would suffice John if you wanted to do this??
