Went for a wander with Bumpy22 today, after getting to one place and seeing ducks fly over as we pulled up we had hoped for a good afternoon wander. Everything seemed to vacate as we got the guns out. Then a squirrel ran from the floor up a tree. That was dispatched by Bumpy after we stood either side of the tree looking for movement. Saw a good few pigeons but none coming close. Then on one hedge that has produced pheasants for him before, we stoped at an opening in the hedge, and a cock bird broke out, I raised the beretta and dropped him. Carried on walking about but again not alot showing. Was a good afternoon out with good company and now dinner

Not a great quality picture but this chap(pess) came and sat on tge fence post next to me while I was out foxing last night. The foxes were just mooching in the field to far out for a sensible shot and as it was freah cut grass no call would interest them

Haven't been out much lately, works been full on and I've been in better moods, tonight a mate was finally getting the last cut done so i went out, sat up and waited for him to finish one field. After about 10 minutes of him finishing the first showed up in the nv spotter. Squeak.. Nothing didn't even look up. Squeak again, nothing, just carried on wandering the field to far out for a sensible shot. I scanned the other fields and saw a hare and barn owl. Then a set of eyes.... Squeaked and it lift its head and ran towards me and stopped, it made a perfect silhouette and just stood skylining. I checked the first, still mooching about ignoring the Squeak. The barn owl however, came and sat about 10 yards from me, then circled two or three times, eaxh time settling back down on the same fence post. Hoping some photos i took will come out well... A little less mardy now aswell.. Oh, no shots fired

Well done mate.. And jeez, anyone would think you just shot an endangered species.. Its in Season and was a snap shot. I dispare on here at times. Not like he has gone on a 200 burd day and they are all like it.

Ive been told to put together a shooting log, the more I shoot the more chance of getting open ticket... Completely pointless imo. I was made to do the firearms awareness to just be allowed a 243. So I have that. Im just leaving it until my renewal and put in for it then. Really doesnt stop me shooting as where i shoot is cleared so im effectively acting like it's open Edit - the whole restricted/open is an odd one really. As has been said, if the land is cleared you dont have to inform, so they wont know where you do or dont shoot in theory.
