  1. Me too I have Perazzi, Beretta and Miroku in the cabinets all of which range from 1980’s to early 2000 but none of them new. They all are supremely reliable the only gun I have had problems with (apart from usual wear and tear related) was my new 682 which as Scully says was probably down to poor QC but was fixed by GMK and has been fine since.
  2. Indeed it probably is, but most (not all) guns with a Monte Carlo stock are trap guns. Doesn't mean that they cant be highly effective at ESP or even game. I use my 682X for trap, sporting and pigeons and it suits me well. In fact I took my sporter out the other day and struggled with it so I guess I have gotten used to the setup on the 682X. Unless the gun shoots really high it should be just fine. Only problem is the weight felt like I was lugging around a GPMG after 4 hours in the fields!
  3. Will it really make that much of a difference? I cant even remember what some of my fixed choked guns are and I can hit stuff with most of them, I would just learn to shoot the gun and get on with it!
  4. I also shoot a 682X trap gun for sporting. I prefer the parallel combed Monte Carlo stock and it suits me very well. Suggest you see a coach or fitter first though as your issue could be mount related.
  5. Really? For a Greener GP! Got 3 of them in my cabinets think I paid 200 quid for the best one which is mint. Can’t hit a damn thing with any of them if I could send you one I would. Seriously though enjoy it!
  6. This. As soon as I started doing that my scores increased significantly. And also don’t take it too seriously just enjoy being outside and smashing a few clays.
  7. Love it! Have a Silver Pigeon as well but that now my wife’s gun and she shoots it very well.
  8. Beretta Silver Pigeons are low in the comb which suits some people. Not me I haven’t shot better than when I switched to a 682X trap gun use it for everything now and it’s been a marked improvement. I tried those beretta gel raisers on my Perazzi made a bit of difference but not as much as the 682. I see plenty of rib but as it has a Monte Carlo stock it’s parallel and I like the head up position.
  9. This happened to me and even worse they still charged the fees for listing the chokes! I don’t use eBay now for anything shooting related it’s always this site for me.
  10. That’s really useful thanks for posting.
  11. Great thanks all for the info reckon it’s down to the gun shop to pick up a couple of CO2 pistols this week. Our neighbors are ok so hopefully all should be well.
  12. Hi all I fancy buying a CO2 pistol for a bit of tin can busting in the back garden but can’t remember what the law states on this. We’re quite close to a main road and slightly overlooked so a bit unsure if it’s a good idea especially given the realistic look of many CO2 pistols these days. Can anyone offer any guidance or advice please?
  13. We replaced ours last year with a Flavel one. Can’t fault it to be honest wasn’t the most expensive but definitely well built.

  17. Wish I had time to reload can barely find time to go shooting these days. Used to love reloading for my rifles.
  18. I agree my monthly cartridge bill is astronomical with my sons shooting 20 bore and .410 at least my wife and I both shoot 12’s!
