  1. And very nice they are too! Are the badges like blue peter ones? If I draw a picture of a pigeon will I win one?
  2. Great write up cheers widgeon man! I can't weigh up posting pics either! That said I'm yet to fill my boots in such fine style!
  3. Saw some in the up and coming holts catalogue they do look interesting, and skilfully made, image a time when a gentleman could run a mugger through with it and not only not get in trouble but would commended for bravery!
  4. How many badges and license wallets does one man need?
  5. Aga man have you googled ferret welfare place east yorks? That's the trouble, game dealers don't even want them for nothing, you can't give them away especially the numbers that agaman is hoping to bag this coming harvest, only thing I can think is pet food processing place not sure if there's one a Driffield on kellythorpe ind estate
  6. There's been over 400 shot by others over three sessions on pea stubble not far from my perm,I'm waiting to hear what they have done with them, I also asked my farmer as he has an outlet for his geese and ducks thought he might know someone, waiting to hear back Aga man
  7. Good work corvid controller! you wouldn't want to be a crow on a hot day in a field with you!
  8. Nice one DM, only if your man short or on your tod, sorry you had a bad do at Beverley!
  9. Ive only shot at Beverley on charity shoots and it's always been spot they support charity really well, so I can't really comment on the day to day stuff, but it feels relaxed and friendly at other times I've been there, there's a good shop that is linked to Malmo guns so you can rfd guns there which is useful, I have shot a brandsburton a fair bit and the ground manager Tony is a good friend so it's where I go if want to shoot clays, varied and wide choice of stands, give it go, happy to tag along if helps!
  10. Haha! It does doesn't it!? I like the string pulling idea, give me something to do waiting for pigeons to come!
  11. Yeah fair do's but the point was no battery's or metal work to carry
  12. Marvellous! Cheers tightchoke, that was quick! Yeah I like it, if it's not daft money I could see me getting one, if your travelling light it's a great way to get movement in the pattern
  13. I saw the advert in the basc magazine but it doesn't say much about what it does, I like that Chris Green mind so fair play to him! Is there a you tube vid of it in action?
  14. Still a good day! Bit of a come down from your last outing but like you say it's always nice to out shooting pigeons!
  15. Sounds a great few hours MM, cheers for posting, they harvested some peas near me before the rain on Wednesday, but only seen gulls on the stubble, as kids we could get bin bags full of pods from the edges of harvested fields and then share them round the village!
  16. I've had a pair over a year and so far no leaks, I've only gone in up to the ankle a few times but they've held, very comfy boot, and not a lot of money.

All the very best to you and yours Digger, puts my unusually tricky intergrated washer installation in to perspective!
  18. No I couldn't shoot that many birds,I only carry at most a slab, the best I've shot is 20 for 27 shots but to maintain the concentration to shoot 232 is hard to imagine, the most I've carried is 50 and I couldn't believe how heavy they were, and lastly but a valid reason, I have no outlet for shot birds, our local game dealer has stopped taking them. Great question marsh man!
  19. Couldn't see that vid but watched your other one from 11 mths ago that was good!
  20. Enjoyed that cheers! Did muncher shoot three?
  21. Once again years of experience and field craft pay off, well shot you two!
  22. Blimey Jdog! That's a fair awd bag of pigeons!
  23. Always good to read your reports PC and see the results, cheers for posting!
  24. Good work gents! I have just driven past the lane end where you and Aga man have been and did wonder where all the pigeons are! .... in your boot! So if the plan had played out you could have tripled the bag? Well done Aga man for saving them for Jdog, the farmer must have been getting nervous!
