  1. https://www.torchy.co.uk/ Great service, only genuine makes. Torchy Boys' reputation goes before him. These are ULTRAFIRE - never buy batteries with the word FIRE on them..
  2. All of the scops we (collectively) have pointed you at (including the PARD) have dioptre adjustment on the eyepiece (occular assembly). The Nikko scope you have picked will work very well with a PARD, however, being AO you need to strech to the front of the scope to adjust the parallax focusing and this will likely block your light source making it more difficult to focus quickly. It may not, you may develop a technique that works for you. I (personaly) prefer a side parallax adjustment, my mate prefers AO. A PARD is a 'screen' type. You need/must have parallax adjustment to focus your target with all add-on night vision. It's either built into the NV scope itself or it's not. In the case of the PARD007 it's not built in, so the scope must have it.
  3. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/231388800990 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285342653821 Plenty more on the Bay of E.... No, that is a AO scope (Adustable Objective lens)
  4. Most (if not all) of the lower cost scopes are fine. As said you will need a side focus or parallax adjustment and a low base magnification with a 50 or 56mm objective lense to get the best benefit. There are 2 PARD007's the 12mm and the 16mm. The 16mm has a 2.14 base magnification and the 12mm a 1.61 times. If you have a 4-12x50 scope with a 12mm PARD007 fitted you will have a 6.4-19.32x50 scope, the 16mm version will give you a 8.56-25.68x50 scope Ideally you should go as low a base mag as you can find to maintain the widest angle of view possible when shooting vermin at the shorter distances dictated by your air rifle. [That's a mouthful of a sentence but hopefully you know what I mean ... ]
  5. +1 on the Supra C500 There are several (used) on eBay, easy to change the code... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/125981351228

    Rangefinder WANTED

There you go @speakyloads of options. The Lieca probably has the best lenses (but not the largest so has 800M range), the Vortex is the newest (more software capabilities), my Bushy has the same sized lenses and range as the Vortex but has simpler software (Yds/Meters but thats about it) and the Busnell PRO 450 which will work well at normal vermin/deer ranges and is probably the smallest of the bunch. Which one floats your boat ?
  7. Simon, you've fallen into the dark side ... escape while you can. It's amazing what £4100 gets you these days....

    Scope advice

I have a Nikko Stirling 4-16x50 you can have for £100 (collected or + P&P) It was on my Daystate .25 and then a .223 for a while. Comes boxed with all the bits ... (not the flip cap, coasters or mounts/picatiny rail) Where are you ? I'm near Lanark, not far from Glasgow.
  10. Medcert (or BASC) are fine. Don't let Doctors rip you off. If you have another local Doctor you can move to them which costs the Doc you just left around £175 ..... It will cost them a lot more in time and paperwork if you let a third party complete your form and a helloffa lot more if you leave.
  11. Maybe it's a clever strategy by the courts to ensure that 'Feedback' spend all of thier money on some silly notion ?

    Helmet

    Australian is it ?
  13. Crunchy Peanut Butter, cheapest you can find. Mice run along the edge of things, out in the middle of a bonnet won't do it really. Put small amount of bait near to the trap too, jusyt a couple of little bits.
  14. Start @10 yds with the scope centered (turn the elevation dial from one end to the other and put it in the middle, same with windage). Always aim at the same centre 1" square/spot... Get 3 shots into/just below the centre Move the board to 20 yds - get 2 shots into center Move to 50 yds - same Move to 70yds - should be approx 2" low (don't adjust) Move to 10 yds, should be 1" low (don't adjust) Move to 35yds should be 1" high (don't adjust) Rifle/scope zeroed.
  15. I'm interested ....
  16. I'd guess badgers too
  17. I do not have any .204 bullets. The main distributors Krank and Highland are waiting stock, I think SGC are quoting June and others, August. There is a shortage of Sierra bullets across Europe. A friend of mine lives in Sedalia and tells me that the factory is working double-shifts to meet demand. Like a lot of suppliers I think the war in Ukrain and the closeness of it to the NATO borders has peaked demand and we (the UK) aren't really a large enough consumer to divert to. Next time I am in my local shoppe I will ask and if they have any will post here if they do.
  18. Reloading is a complex and technical thing. Retailers sell stuff to people, the more people they take money off the better. Often they (RFD's) are clueless about what they are selling and tend to 'dumb down' to meet thier market and to take money from the uneducated and clueless. A wider audience .... They avoid conversations like ... Customer : "Got any 223 bullets ?" Retailer : "Hunting or Target, ? Box of 100 ?" Customer ; "No mate I want bullets not heads" It's easier for the retailer to just agree and take the money, educating his customers isn't a thing he wants to do, especially if he's a locksmith (know what I mean ?). No manufacturer calls bullets 'heads'... not one. No RFD worth his salt calls bullets 'heads'. Do you make head-holes in things when you shoot them ? I call em Stuckies and Cushies - people who really know what they are talking about call them Sturnus Vulgaris and Columba Palambus. You can shoot Cushies in the UK but only Stuckies in Northern Ireland.
  19. That's how you control headspace but headspace is the gap between the head and the boltface.
  20. Which is in the head ....
  21. What's Headspace to you ?
  22. Bullets, the head is where the primer goes ...
