  1. If your shooting at distance then the shot size will play a big part to the killing force upon impact so be careful which you choose. . . . May I suggest you buy a slab of 3's, 4's & 5's and go halves with a mate then you can tell which shot size suits your style, range and chokes
  2. Muckboot Muckmaster is the ones for you
  3. 100% but the one marked 'red fox'
  4. Ummmmmm, interesting comments. . . . I think we would be half way to intoxication if we were all around a table. For what it's worth the Aldi 'Red Fox Red Leicester' offers great value and quality and the price of an old English SxS gun is affordable again with the cessation of lead as the proof houses are failing most of them all it seems
  5. I read today that Britain is in the worst state it's been for 300years but don't worry lads all in hand and by 2033 we will be flying again! Great news but not really looking forward to 12years of un-nice-nessssss
  6. Think that's the best one I've heard since someone told me you can also cut cheese with a bread-knife!
  7. OK, fair play and fully understand as I feel the same itch from time to time
  8. yep, that's the gun for you
  9. No question is a dim one, imagine not knowing how to make a car go backwards if you didn't know about a reverse gear. Not all decoys can be lofted is the short answer. The lofting ones usually come with feet and you simply swap the feet for the lofting weight, from memory I think jack pyke do them and most decoy places sell them to be honest. If like most of us, weight is an issue with the amount of gear you need to go decoying so would suggest making a hook on one of your hide poles with wire/tape/zip tie to be able to 'loft them' and also worth trying ( a couple of crows too ) on wire fences overlooking your decoy pattern as when you drive around you will see crows perched low as well as on tree tops
  10. Let me know if you have anything available? Cheers
  11. Thanks and might as well give it a go
  12. May I ask what is the material you used as would like to have a go myself as my gunslip is on it's last legs?

I assume this is a long old drink that is legendary for the older gentlemen on here ( I'm in my 50's been shooting most of my life and never tried it before but tis great ) The one I tasted ( in case others don't know) was piping hot from a flask. . . Bovril, white pepper, tabasco, lemon and sherry I assume some of you have twists on the above recipe which I would love to hear about Enjoy lads
