  1. Cheers, didn't expect that reply, will peruse over a beer
  2. I'm unsure what to buy as the marketplace is flooded and complicated with too much choice. I want to fill in the gaps of a recently laid crazy paving patio, gaps are between 10 to 30 mm wide and about 30mm deep. Do pointing, jointing and grouting products not all do the same job or is there a clear winner when it comes to cost, ease of use and longevity? Some advice please Thanks everyone

    SECOND JAB

I was wiped out with 1st AZ jab so really looking forward to 2nd and still can't hit clays but not bad when it comes to hitting something I can eat; O well we not perfect
  4. I enjoy nearly all vedge as long as they are served with a pork chop or an alternative lump of proper meat
  5. I've seen a few examples ' not working ' back to perfect timepieces by replacing a broken spring ( some are really small )
  6. Have a look in the bottom of the back of the clock for a bit of a broken spring or move it from side to side to hear anything in there *** usually the problem is over-winding and it snaps something; that would be my 1st suggestion. 2nd sit it perfectly horizontal and plumb, swing the pendulum and see it ticks. If there isn't anything broken and it ticks then check out videos on YouTube and maybe join a group on Facebook to further diagnostics. It doesn't look as if it's branded so probably not worth much but check for any signatures/markings that will give you a clue of the maker so if you need to buy any bits.
  7. Never heard that or a variation of it before but will keep it in my handwritten book of notes of the clever things I've seen and witnessed. As I recon although each breed have traits each dog within a breed are slightly different to train. PS. I run along side Viszla's and they get the job done but not for me as the ones I see don't like swimming and are very hard mouthed
  8. Get yourself a glass ( sorry a meant a bottle ) of fizz tonight ad proper stuff not that prosecco stuff. . . very very well done
  9. That's a strong opinion and probably justified as there are lots of clever and experienced members of this forums ( I'm certainly not one of them but have fired a few cartridges, may I ask; please would tell the group what is your personal preference and what you would buy if they were unavailable? Cheers
  10. I shoot 32g Eley HV as do a few of my friends and are all very happy, however, I love getting educated
  11. They are quick, I've wondered about making a dog sick without vet. Good luck with Insurance
  12. Just an update, the gravel I had my eye on is 'only' £165+vat a buk bag but the best bit is they can't deliver to me so I have to have it delivered to Jewsons and then they re-deliver to me which put's the job out the window for me. Above Hoggin / Ramsey red / 6F2 are all mentioned so which is my next best alternative for a driveway and garden path that looks decent, low maintenance and doesn't dip into my cartridge budget for the year? Thanks again lads
  13. Great post, Broiled bacon has been an annoyance for years, I only buy from a butcher who make their own these days, HOWEVER, I shall go and try your method. . . . I assume you started with a quality lump of pork or was it cheap and cheerful from a supermarket? Cheers
  14. Sounds good in theory and like pigeoning if you don't give it a go then you will never know how good it can be; cheers my man
  15. Could you spend a few mins and educate us lot on the correct way to use a flat fine diamond file to sharpen a knife correctly?
  16. I pull rank then; I'm nearly 52. . . . keep me posted if the knife sharpener holds up with the test of time please
  17. I can't reverse a trailer nor sharpen knives either
  18. A good gun is a 'miroku mk38' it will take standard steel and you will get a half decent one around your budget or buy a new Yildiz with 3" barrels for £1k and in theory you can shoot anything you like through it but they kick. I would avoid a used one which will come well within your budget ( £400-ish ) as it may have been well hammered
  19. 5 star sir. . . . . And here's me thinking I was clever using up the scraps of Sundays roast chicken to make a pasta for tonight
  20. I haven't seen any SM's nor swallows in North West yet
  21. It could be complicated for you mate ( but not for a sparky ) if it's actually stuck. If it clicks back to off when you try to turn it back on? I can talk you though it, let me know and I'll help as much as possible but your post suggests your going to need a sparky if as you say it's physically stuck
