  1. The birds came in very well to your decoys good field craft. I actually prefer if when they come over and flare rather than into the pattern, I don’t know why but just really enjoy the shooting. You got a nice left and right.
  2. Congratulations, well done with the new PB 👍
  3. My three boys were very excited with a boot full of pigeons to dress. They were allowed to choose one each. My oldest named his Dead-y and cuddled it. My middle son plucked his to make a pillow. Whilst the baby carried his to the sand pit. All safely back in the fridge now!
  4. It’s as close as I could get after a long time searching for a Monte Carlo 2nd Hand for Beretta SV-10. This would have been perfect, but wrong model and too much money for me.
  5. No sorry, we are in PM and the thread too. I explained it is not a Monte Carlo stock but gives the same overall effect. If I had the money I would have a Monte Carlo stock made for me. This way the gun fits me plus anyone else who buys it, at a very limited cost. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bisley-Adjustable-Shoulder-Buttplate-Shotgun/dp/B007WFJY3K This is the butt plate to give the correct drop at toe. I used MDF with electrical tape as the spacer. You may think it’s ugly but the proto type I used for two seasons was much worse!
  6. Doveridge did the adjustable cheek piece to give me height. I bodged the spacer and dropped butt pad. Overall may not be what you were looking for but gives me a Monte Carlo effect for my regal neck 🤣
  7. That’s interesting, thank you for posting. I’ve only ever heard of it referred to as an acronym previously.
  8. I don’t think the general public gets too upset about a drug dealer killing another drug dealer with an illegally held pistol every now and then. Walk into a classroom with your arsenal of legally held pistols and execute 16 tiny children, shooting 32 people in total, and for some reason people get upset 🤷‍♀️
  9. Haven’t noticed the discounts for multiple vouchers. £26/100 isn’t too bad at all though.
  10. I got to two minutes in and have paused. I may continue where it left off at some future point but the first two minutes did not persuade me to invest more time tonight. I’m a BASC member and pro BASC but the most interesting thing from that clip was that BASC is spoken as an initialism rather than an acronym. I have a similar conflict with RIBA but have never heard BASC as an initialism before.
  11. Similar to bikers, a few idiots give everyone a bad name. In the mornings I have noticed in my village that it is the women drivers who speed most excessively going into blind corners in a 30mph zone without footpaths despite pedestrians. The male drivers tend to speed up and slow down much more responsively. Reaching a higher maximum speed but in positions where they have a clear sight of the road, common and playground. The women seem oblivious of the dog walkers / nursery / playground / primary school / blind bends / hump / crossings / shop and tight historic street in our tiny village maintaining a constant 40mph (assume in 4the gear) even when it becomes national speed limit upon exiting the village.
  12. I cannot find any independent corroboration of their quote that in throwing out BASC as an interested Party Mr Justice Griffiths said: ”The addition of BASC as a further Interested Party is neither necessary nor desirable and would only serve to increase the costs and prolong the proceedings”
  13. An old boy I knew when I was at school with his son used to claim to trap them in urban areas and then drive them to the middle of open pasture and course his two dogs on them one-by-one. Almost certainly illegal and he said it stank but nonetheless he seemed to love it. The dogs were GWPs not lurchers which always surprised me. I’m sure it would be exciting but I am slightly repulsed by the thought of such a protracted death, in my opinion a trapped animal should be dispatched quickly and efficiently to cause minimum distress. I am very pro fox hunting but it is about the hunt not the baiting.
  14. Assuming England: https://basc.org.uk/gl/england/
  15. Good luck, if you wanted to look professional you could print out the forms and BASC guidance highlighting the key aspects (species/damage etc).
  16. What are his problems with them? Please see below the main general licenses used for shooting: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/carrion-crows-licence-to-kill-or-take-them-gl26 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/canada-geese-licence-to-kill-or-take-them-for-public-health-and-safety-gl28 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/woodpigeons-licence-to-kill-or-take-them-to-prevent-serious-damage-to-crops-gl31 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/wild-birds-licence-to-kill-or-take-for-conservation-purposes-gl34 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/wild-birds-licence-to-kill-or-take-for-public-health-or-safety-gl35 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/wild-birds-licence-to-kill-or-take-to-prevent-serious-damage-gl36 You need to satisfy yourself that GL26, GL34, GL35 or GL36 apply.
  17. I just use lamps. But I am poor. If I wasn’t poor I would cheat too!
  18. Interesting and valid points 👍
  19. If your accountant doesn’t know by tomorrow then you need a new accountant! We looked at SEIS but our old accountant (useless family friend) said it was too complicated 🤣 Our new accountant is brilliant and a shooting man, based in High Peak if you need a number I’ll PM.
