  1. Michael Heseltine in Question Time a few weeks ago commented that (some data that he'd seen suggested) UKIP support comes from conservative/labour in a 4:1 ratio. And that doesn't surprise me.

You're right. It is designed to 'jokingly' frighten people.... Not my cup of tea so I see why you asked.

http://forums.pigeonwatch.co.uk/forums/topic/297171-danasoft/ Don't think there was much response last time. i only googled as I hadn't a clue what this is....
  4. Excellent points, IMHO. I'd just say he's a ****.
  5. Thanks for that. interesting. But I was slightly alarmed by his spraying the whole barrels with forend still attached with oil at around 4:13. Surely you'd keep that stuff away from wood? (Unless Balistol or similar)
  6. I'd love one but I'm not spending that sort of money on something with such a poor reliability record. Here's some data that seems to confirm what people are saying above... http://www.reliabilityindex.com/reliability/search/164 It's not that a certain car will be poor, it's the risk - you might be lucky but with a RR , you're taking a bigger chance with a RR.
  7. I love the RSPCA. Particular when the unmarked white van reverses up a lane near my house and there's a few doors opening and closing with the undergrowth rustling and my dog getting a bit excited. I get the greatest response to my calls and see the most action in the days following that. Wish they would come more often.
  8. I load for my 303 but don't for my 223. Get such good results for accuracy with Hornady factory, and as it's a foxing rifle, the number of shots I take is limited. You need to be shooting a fair bit to make it worthwhile financially, IMHO Accuracy wise, it depends what range you take your foxes at. Anything up to 200 yds, I'd doubt there's much in it but of course this depends on your rifle and current ammo.
  9. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/travel/travel_news/article-3005352/Thousands-flock-Mont-Saint-Michel-France-witness-tide-century.html French are getting a 'spectacle' as well...
  10. I shoot several thousand of them each year and have never had a poor round or poor kill that I am aware of due to the ammo. And they group < 0.5 in at 50 ie 1 MAO in my BSA.
  11. For someone so clearly disillusioned with the main parties I can't believe you're now going to vote for a party that has one of the biggest crooks in UK politics as deputy chairman.
  12. Essential tool now in corporate life to attract head-hunters. 99% of the recruiters now find people via Linked in. Amazing how shoddy some people are with their pic quality and style and what they write! Perhaps they don't want another job.
  13. i'm told by people with more experience than me that this is rarely, if ever, seen in practice. And when I was thinking and asking about this myself a few years ago, have never met anyone who has seen this happen.
  14. Excellent rifle. Mine is 223 1:8. Shoots anything accurately although 55gn Vmax is its staple diet. Out of the box, it can shoot < 1 MOA, which I believe is not exceptional for this rifle. The plastic shroud was no problem for me and it really does everything you'd expect well. Light, accurate and reliable.
  15. Thanks. That's where I noticed Mitch's comments. Wondering if anyone has a goldline that they're happy with? The digital lock would suit me for a number of reasons but not if its going to be a problem....
  16. I'm about to order a Buffalo River 10 gun cabinet and have the choice of LCD (my preference) or key operated. Does anyone have experience of the digital/LCD models? I saw an isolated reference on a forum a few months ago to unreliability but if one changes the battery regularly and has a back up key, is there anything to worry about? All my cabinets to date have been key operated. (This 10 gun cabinet fits the space I have perfectly.) Comments appreciated and thanks in advance
  17. I'm not fussed on the AR15 stuff (although I do shoot CSR, and it's a nice cute 'pattern/background') but the mat's great itself in that it doesn't slide and is just the right size. And it rolls up nicely without being 'stiff'. I certainly would pay more than you're asking for one! Easy to say now that I've bought two!
  18. And you're confident from the editing of this 'anti' video that you know 'what happened'?
  19. I'm worrying that it could have contracted a serious skin infection so if you hear it's OK, please let me know.
  20. I'm so happy with mine, I'm after another! PM sent...
  21. Was thinking the same myself. These ***** play stupid games and guess what prizes they get
  22. No reports of problems with attacking stuff/game/pets around here and we've hundreds of them. Certainly know why they are called ***hawks when I was washing my car yesterday. Seemed to have a white roof, with patches. As someone else said, they often get bullied by crows.......
  23. They're an irritant when you've got 20 or 30 overhead at the same time as someone up the road is leaving food for them. Their call soon becomes annoying - when you hear it all day every day. Not to take away from their beauty though.
  24. Mick, that's actually not quite correct. But as in everything, it 'depends'. Have a read at this....http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/magazine/8253915.stm and I quote a small part below - interestingly they used a washing machine as an example... "The Sale of Goods Act It works like this. For the first four-five weeks you have a "right of rejection" - if the item you've bought breaks down, you can demand a refund. For the next six months, you are entitled to replacement or repair of the goods. It is up to the retailer to prove there was nothing wrong with it if they wish to get out of having to do the work. And then after six months, there is still a duty to replace or repair faulty goods, but the onus is on you, the consumer, to prove that there was something wrong. And the key time span is six years. That's how long goods may be covered by the Sale of Goods Act. It all depends on what "sufficiently durable" means. If a light bulb goes after 13 months, the consumer is not going to be overly gutted. If their washing machine goes after the same time span they are going to be livid. The government's guidelines say: "Goods are of satisfactory quality if they reach the standard that a reasonable person would regard as satisfactory, taking into account the price and any description." And be aware that if you go to the washing machine repairer, spend money attempting to diagnose an inherent fault, and find out you have been using it the wrong way, then you are going to be out of pocket." But of course, this has nothing to do with GMK, as our contract (the public ie us) is with the retailer not the importer/distributor. Arguably, it's good of GMK to do anything for us when it should actually be the retailer!
