paulos
Cheers! Catamong
Well, the lad's certainly come on a tad since I last saw him shoot Hodnet about 3 years ago. That's a good score at that ground, (even if it was on the Skeet layout), he's obviously going easy on the waccy baccy at the moment..?? I hope they don't put on a "soft" layout for the Charity day, the last thing we all want is some sort of upmarket "JJ's" biff style shoot. That ground is capable of putting on fantastic targets, not simply birds that are miles away and a test of the effective range of a 12 bore, but even stuff on the end of the barrel, they beat you with angles, not distance. The Essex boys are at a serious disadvantage as they've probably never shot targets coming downhill under power, which is a Hodnet speciality, you won't find targets like that in the flat wastelands around Basildon and Billericay, it's just not possible to put them on. I'll have a discrete word with my mate Dai Jones, the Ground Owner, to make sure we get some real stinkers, we don't want too many 94's, especially not from ******* Students. Cat. MC
How many of you have put your hands in your pockets and sent in your cash though? It is one thing to start moaning about the "Targets" (God I hate that word) it is another to stump up your £50. There is only 9 of us going at the moment. Markio
39x50 today at the local. Driving rain and wind didn't help but fluffed up a few and never touched that bumble bee clay, so that was 5 down straight away.

Had been on a reasonable run with being placed for the last three weeks but today I felt as though I hadn't shot this badly since that episode of temporary blindness I suffered Well shot Magman yet again proving you don't have to spend a fortune on carts to kill long birds and to the rest of the squad for putting up with my swearing and muttering. Well roll on next week Mr Potter

Well roll on next week Mr Potter Don't threat Mr P we have the same effect on Beretta As for pre shooting wish i hadn't as i dropped 12 birds on 3 stands i straightened yesterday I think half way round i was 7-8 clays behind so never give up Chard and Anni seemed to shoot the first half on fire But on the last 5 stands i dropped 3 birds to pull myself back into the game  As Beretta has said before there is no cartridge out there more capable than the shooter and today i shot it with cartridge cheaper than eley firsts . Well shot all and i never thought i came out on top till we counted up ?
PhilR
It was the final of the ABT winter series at Rugby today. Shot pants - 81 My excuse from the PDLM fabled book was the snow in front of the layouts affected seeing the targets properly  However, I did manage to win A class in the winter series and got 500 Express Super Comps Edited February 21, 2010 by philr
