Had around of 50 at shugborough getting used to the new shells , shot one stand very early to see how the new shells killed at distance .

Dropped 4 on that stand :good: finished on a 41 ???

Tidy shooting, chap :good:

If you keep up that average tomorrow, you'll be on a good score :/

Syrup of Figs and Ex-Lax in your coffee, then ???:P

I've decided you need a good purge ???

Well, the lad's certainly come on a tad since I last saw him shoot Hodnet about 3 years ago.

That's a good score at that ground, (even if it was on the Skeet layout), he's obviously going easy on the waccy baccy at the moment..?? :hmm:

I hope they don't put on a "soft" layout for the Charity day, the last thing we all want is some sort of upmarket "JJ's" biff style shoot.

That ground is capable of putting on fantastic targets, not simply birds that are miles away and a test of the effective range of a 12 bore, but even stuff on the end of the barrel, they beat you with angles, not distance.

The Essex boys are at a serious disadvantage as they've probably never shot targets coming downhill under power, which is a Hodnet speciality, you won't find targets like that in the flat wastelands around Basildon and Billericay, it's just not possible to put them on.

I'll have a discrete word with my mate Dai Jones, the Ground Owner, to make sure we get some real stinkers, we don't want too many 94's, especially not from ******* Students. :good:

Cat.

How many of you have put your hands in your pockets and sent in your cash though?

It is one thing to start moaning about the "Targets" (God I hate that word) it is another to stump up your £50. There is only 9 of us going at the moment.

Disappointing day out today

Woke to another load of snow, but we went to shoot the registered at Shugborough.

Shot like a ******* tool.

Scores on the doors :

Magman - 79 :hmm: Good shooting chap. Second in B Class when we left.

Mr Potter - 73 :hmm: What's all that about? :P

Anni - 73  PB at Shugborough. Going in the right direction.

Chard - 73  **** off :good:

Maglad - 46  Well shot Jay. Some good shooting in between pelting everybody with snowballs :hmm:

Load of cock. The only high point for me was picking up £40 for joint first in B Class back in January

Think my Mrs had been given the heads up, got home to find her hiding the knives (again!)

Had been on a reasonable run with being placed for the last three weeks but today I felt as though I hadn't shot this badly since that episode of temporary blindness I suffered :hmm::P

Well shot Magman yet again proving you don't have to spend a fortune on carts to kill long birds  and to the rest of the squad for putting up with my swearing and muttering.

Well roll on next week

Mr Potter

Don't threat Mr P we have the same effect on Beretta :hmm:

As for pre shooting wish i hadn't as i dropped 12 birds on 3 stands i straightened yesterday :good:

I think half way round i was 7-8 clays behind so never give up :hmm: Chard and Anni seemed to shoot the first half on fire

But on the last 5 stands i dropped 3 birds to pull myself back into the game

As Beretta has said before there is no cartridge out there more capable than the shooter and today i shot it with cartridge cheaper than eley firsts .

Well shot all and i never thought i came out on top till we counted up ?

It was the final of the ABT winter series at Rugby today. Shot pants - 81 :good: My excuse from the PDLM fabled book was the snow in front of the layouts affected seeing the targets properly  However, I did manage to win A class in the winter series and got 500 Express Super Comps
