Hi Chaps,

Some of you may recall my recent posts regarding a well known shooting / decoy supplier based in Wigan.

After not receiving my magnet, after waiting four weeks, i asked for a refund, this was the week between Christmas and new year, i was told " yer no problem mate " the following week to check it had been done only to be told "dont no anything about it," i will check and get back to do in 5 minutes, i rang back an hour later to check again to be told " you need to speak with accounts are you sure you didn't receive the magnet ? the courier must of lost it i will get on to them " i insisted i spoke to accounts, which i did, i was then informed my credit card had been refunded. I received my credit card statement on Wednesday NO REFUND !, i rang again to be told " oh hand on a minute, a cheque was posted yesterday". SO now Saturday 16th NO CHEQUE !!!.

I rang them again today "sorry sir we are only Saturday lads can't help you"

I will ring again first thing Monday morning and ask for my £150.00 back, which they have had since 30th November i will also report the problem to my credit card company.

I will let you know Mondays out come. :) :)

How did you pay for the goods, cheque, credit card? When purchasing goods, online, or by telephone, the seller must not take payment off you if the goods are not in stock. This is law.

Check out your options by visiting your local citizen's advise office, or, if you paid by either of the above, contact them as well. Good luck with getting your money back.

I don't know who you are talking about as I've not bought any kit from a wigan supplier but I would like to know who they are as your experience serves as a warning.... can someone please PM me the answer..... thanks

hi foghorn

got the same problem made order before xmas told they would arrive 4th jan never came so rung

up was told some of the order was not in so they would send it all together to save postage

rang yesterday spoke to a guy who must be the only honest guy in the shop who said we shold not have been

given any date as they were not even in the shop when we first ordered but still took the money now been told

they will be here by the weekend

As stated above if they sold you the item and it was out of stock thats against the law :(

 

also if you used a credit card ( not a debit card) I think you can do a charge back to the company this will just pull your money straight back ( check with your credit card company first they might make a small charge for doing it this way )

 

 

Good luck with the refund mate sounds like a real 8alls up :angry:

:angry: Just ordered something from them, no problem with delivery not next day but day after. It weighed 220 grams P&P (in a black plastic bag) £9.50 :(

This was to replace a defective part for something I purchased from them sometime ago. I had originally asked several time for a repalcement without reply.

ok guys so this company cannot be named and shamed but you can post there name on here saying how good they were.

 

Anyways i thought it was only liable if the printed word wasnt true so as lond as what you state is correct then your within your rights.

Hi all i have been asked by a mod to politley retract my statement saying it is only ok to praise comanys on here and not critisise them.The mod has read the top line of my post as if it was written with sarcasm

To be honest this is not what was meant by the top line of my post.What i was trying to say was that it left someone in a liableous position to name and shame a company for there lack of customer care.surley they could not be liablous if they said how great they were eg a post appeard on here bla blah bla from wigan are great 1st class service.as long as we all new it was not the case it couldnt be liablous.

Even reading this back i havent explained myself very well and should do a far better job but to be honest i just dont care.

THEY, read this forum mate, so they will probably fob you off a bit more now :angry:

 

As for your magnet, their monkeys are probably down the shed dismantling their Metro's for the relevant parts, then using cheap glue/ bluetack and or sellotape, to assemble said parts :angry:
