Dan73
The Birch - Woburn - always good, fantastic service. Local venison steaks (from Woburn Safari Park) - hmmmmm.......... Had a fantastic starter on Saturday evening there with the wife - something like, black pudding, poached egg, bacon, creamy mash and onion gravy - sounds strange, but tasted amazing. Then went for the Cod with mature cheddar, potatoes, mint and pea sauce (with a side of super chunky chips)
Wesman
The "Three arrows" pub near Heaton park in manchester. Everything is home made and tastes ridiculously good and it is dirt cheap. A diamond in the rough of North Manchester

Mrs Sweepy
Milsoms is within walking distance of my house. But i have never been inside I have often stood at the windows looking in. But so far none of the happy rich folk have took pity On me or poor Sammy and offered us a breadstick. One day though i shell step over their threshold And leave my wellies at the door. xxxxSuzy
hendersons
think i may get told off by the mods for spam if i post on this one, but it's a restaurant in fairford named after a flower with a very good looking sous chef that likes shooting pigeons nick

Dunkield
The Waterside Inn - Bray There may be better restaurants, but I haven't been to them.
Mungler
Best restaurant in my neck of Essex is the Blue Bridge in Writtle Interestingly or not, we ended up in the Blue Bridge because it sits opposite Grahams on the Green. Anyhoos, we were in Grahams on the Green one night and after being seated at our table and 15 minutes of nothing - no service, no drink, no menus, indeed just a long whole 15 minutes of just sitting trying to catch the attention of the waitress I Googled nearby restaurants in anticipation of the "Goodbye, we are leaving" and found a much better restaurant. So, there you go, give the Blue Bridge in Writtle a go. It's much better than Grahams on the Green.

vole
I cant say I have eaten at many top notch restaurants but I can tell when something is good. The Wizard at Alderley Edge is really good despite it being in an enclave of vulgar nouveau riche who have thew manners of a badly brought up chav. I went there once on a work financed night and made an absolute pig of myself.
PhilR
For an Indian meal - La Hind, Station Square, Milton Keynes. (Brill for takeaway, order two main dishes - get one free!) For a Chinese meal - Voong, Cambridge St, Bletchley.
