Just for record I done some active service and once you get to us to lingo you dont tend to us anythink else . 1330 hrs not that early once you had a chat a bit of a RECCE thought you might like that one. Regards OTH Watchfield, I priced and did a big housing job for the MOD there a few years back, 290 brand new timber frame houses for Officers, it went like a dream..!! Lots of pigeons in that area, good luck OTH. Cat Cat I sorry to say its not the large wood thats on the MOD site which is a real shame as there is loads that roost there. The MOD have just bought a hole lot on new houses on a site in Faringdon for students as the owner could not sell them for peanuts . Alanl50 Posted February 3, 2010 Report Share Posted February 3, 2010 Three Farms just outside of Ipswich, ILL see what has the most chance on the day although I have been offered what is supposed to be a dead cert from another Farmer so Ill be jumping about trying to make them all happy The rape on a couple of fields is starting to get hammered but you just cant decoy them one pop and there off and its like it all day hopefully with everyone shooting I might get a chance!!! Regards OTH Most of the land i shoot on is the other side of lechlade too, I have a feeling we may share a patch as the farmer told me just before christmas that somebody else had been pigeon shooting over there. I never take roger any pigeons as I use them at work and generally struggle to keep the restaurant supplied with enough, but I do buy them from him from time to time. Good to hear al the copses, woodlands and spinneys are all manned. Don't forget to nail them "undercarriage down" i.e as they are about to land in the tree tops. A cannonade is a disaster and will **** every pigeon off for miles and miles. Most of you know this ofcourse, but some definately don't. England V Wales is more my idea of fun on a windless day.
