mr lee
Just found out that the skipper Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie has died after a stroke at the age of 53. Sad news. He was a really likeable character in the programme. RIP fella.

Plumbob
Thats a big blow for the two sons, despite all the shouting you could tell the three of them were really close. One of my favorite moments wa when Phil made straining noises on the tannoy as his youngest lifted a coil of rope back into the pot, its the sort of thing my old man would have done. libs
Sad to hear. After years of dealing with 40' seas and the rest of it, to be bumped off by a stroke seems a bit pathetic. Poor sod, hope his family are doing ok.

Go onto the discovery site and it will take you there and you can leave a message to the two sons and crew or look on the face book site. Bad news to hear about him bet it is going to hit the rest of the boats hard as he was well like

Frenchieboy
If or when they do another series of "Deadliest Catch" it will not be the sam without Phil! The series showed that he was firm but fair with his crew. My thoughts go out to his family!

PaulABF
I',ve just had a look on his memorial page, the comments, and WHAT THE ****! Eliza Horn I wept on hearing the news.I loved your father although we'd never met. I'd attain moistness of gargantuan proportions when watching him. I may kill myself.
