Dragged cover off the 1300xjr and went for a blast today. Don't you just love days like this for biking!!

Anyone else take advantage of it?

Ah yes! Although been on the bike all winter anyway. Sorry to be a killjoy, but please please all take some refresher training if the bike has been off the road for months. We are just a few days into the season and already there has been bike fatalities in Norfolk.

Dragged the Thunderace out from the shed last week-battery bin on trickle all winter so started first time-changed the oil and plugs ( bloody nightmare of a job)-washed her from top to bottom and ordered a tax disc online-got 2 new boots in the shed that need fitting next week and i'll be away.

Certainly been a big increase in numpty bikers round here since the bank holiday weekend.

Wouldn't tar you all with the same brush, but as a recently passed car driver I am far from happy with some idiot sitting 2ft from my bumper in a 30mph zone or screaming past me just as you enter a 30mph zone to then cut in between me and the car in front...

The Daytona has decided that after being ignored for the winter, it is going to have a strop and is refusing to start for reasons currently unknown (but stupidly expensive fuel pump is the prime suspect at the moment)

Had a tidy up in the garage the other day and found this....

It even started 1st prod after charging the battery. Just need mot & tax and the weather to stay good!

Very nice ped, a mate of mine had a 996 years ago...that's been the only Ducati I ever rode but it was such a good bike, not particularly fast but the handling......

Certainly has,

I went to Derbyshire and back today and saw no end of numpties who were undertaking on the A1, overtaking on windy roads which had a double solid white line down the middle.

Now it doesn't bother me in the slightest if these idiots end up splattered across the road, but it is what the result does to the innocent motorist that gets my goat.

When ever i go out on my bike i just TREAT EVERYONE ON THE ROADS LIKE THEY ARE THERE TO KILL ME! ... I ride by this motto every time i go out! :good: ... I also give this advice to anyone i meet on bikes and especially new riders ... A bit harsh but hey you can't pussy foot around when it comes too safety!

Couldn't agree more. A healthy does of paranoia is quite useful

Some very sweeping statements about bikers how about all the numpty car drivers who pull out when coming pass a turning etc.

Granted there is some numptys on bikes but there just as many numptys in ever other group of road user .

Kind regards OTH

Absolutely spot on, what about them.

But do two wrongs ever make a right?
