Ever so difficult this but personal view is buy him a decent used gun for the money, rather than a cheap new gun, especially if he is used to a Beretta SP3.

There are lots of good guns going cheap at the moment because of the financial/job situation. Its a buyers market.

The thing is for a 15 year old you don't want anything thats going to be too heavy. Maybe one of the lightweights.

yeh as NJC said try and get something that handles like the silver pigeon, i know the lincolns do and i also found my lanber field did aswell, both of which would be in your price range :blink:

I learn't to shoot using a Lincoln 20 of a friends. Never let me down and shot straight. Nice guns for £600 - £700 new or alternitivly them Lanbers are nice guns too

Totally agree, I bought a Lincoln no2 for the exact reason it handled and shot just like my friends beretta.

 

It was a 20 bore and a beautiful gun, I only sold it to change to an ultralight 12 as I do alot of walked up days.

I also found that the Browning 325 was a nice balanced gun but i did opt for a new SP3 myself at the time.

I expect you could pick the Brownings up for around that sort of price i could be wrong but worth the look
