It came highly recommended from a mate who does a lot of butchery. He has tried them all & the spyderco is the one that stays on his bench. rimfire4969 Posted August 22, 2010 Report Share Posted August 22, 2010 I dont like this kind of sharpener, i have seen a couple of my blades after using a simular drag through shaprener end up with a few very small chips along the length of the blade. You get a dvd with it on how to use, but they dont tell you all you need to know. Prime example is: I would end up with a blunt tip on my knifes after sharpening. I perhaps should watch the DVD at some point but there's really no need. Well worth the money and all my knives are now shaving sharp. Useing Lansky Crock Sticks at the moment, works well enough & small enough for in the field use. I've tried a few different pocket sharpeners such as Blade Tech's. Soon ditched them.
