Sargeant Bang
Hi Remmy What sort of pattern were you using there? How would you describe the shape, was it the normal sort of "Horse Shoe" with the magnet at the front or something different? Also was it windy there or pretty still? remmy1100
Hi RemmyWhat sort of pattern were you using there? How would you describe the shape, was it the normal sort of "Horse Shoe" with the magnet at the front or something different? Also was it windy there or pretty still? yeah it was a traditional horse shoe setup 12 shell decoys per side at 2 foot intervals roughly with magnet bang in centre with pigeon pecker just behind and to the left (about 4 feet) and a bouncer 6 feet from last decoy to guide birds round into kill zone.wind was on my back 5mph westerly ,it was overcast,i had magnet running at top speed and works mint like this .field was rape also.. at end of day birds were still piling in but magnet was barely turning (battery flat) then they woulnt come in ,put small battery on and it ran for a while birds came straight in again, then i pulled magnet in ,birds were constantly overhead but would not commit to pattern alone ,,just shows the pulling power of the magnet.there was loads of birds flighting field as i came away hopefully the wind will be good for this weekend and ill have a good go at them this time.
