My escort was pretty much perfect, keep it clean it worked perfectly and I shot really well with it so I got rid of it  (for an O/U for game). I have no experiance of the W&S but I really liked my escort and would get another without second thought :good:

have shot about 800 carts through my hatsan escort with verry fue jam's. dose every now and then let a small flame out the breach but neathr caused a problem. and when i first got the gun me and two mates took the clay trap up the field and put about 250 cart's through it non stop and neather had a problem. so id say for the money verry worth it :good:

I've just sold my Hatsan and didn't have any problems with it. I stuck to 30g 70mm carts and it cycled without a problem, I think I had 2 carts which failed to eject but I've had the same with my Beretta (I suspect a problem with the cartridge as after I manually ejected it the next shell was fine). I wasn't that impressed with the quality of the machining but that didn't stop it working as I wanted.

I've heard (not experienced) about lots of problems with W+S, I'm sure as with all makes, someone loves them out there!

Hatsan Escort ... just bought a good cond. second hand 26" bbl one with all the chokes, etc. still in the original box ... really pleased with it. It's loads better than the Beretta A303 I had a while back for any number of reasons. Not had a W&S but heard enough negatives here and elsewhere not to put it on the list of options. Never heard a genuine opinion about an Escort that was negative. Don't listen to the 'my mate's cousin had one and it was **** ...' brigade. If you want to shoot it while you're sat in a hedge rather than show it off at the clubhouse it's a no-brainer. That said, mine's got a nice walnut stock/forend and looks nice too. Get one.

I also have to agree, that the escort's are great guns especially for the price and great for rough shooting.

Three of my mates have escort's (all used for foxing) and have never had any trouble with them at all one of them even bought another and is now selling his old one to me for a great price

Don't listen the Hatsan Knockers, most of them have never owned one

I have to agree with you here.

Another one of my school mates has a webley & scott s/a but i have never seen it in real life so cannot tell you anything about them, but he said it's great and never blocks.

true, true. I got mine as described above for £280 .. they're out there cheap if you look for them. Apparently my model would have been £450 new
