jfkenpoman
Just put in for variation on firearms certificate, for a .22lr, if successful i will be getting a cz varmit and wanted to know which moderator you guys/gals are using on yours. Which is the most quiet, I will probably be using sub sonic ammo, if i want more i can use the hmr regards jon
dannywayoflife
To be honest with a 22 there all pretty much silent so save a bundle and just pay £35 for a sak.
Dekers
There are many historical posts on this topic but it really isn't worth spending money or time debating a mod for a .22lr if you are only going to use subs. Just get a SAK!
cooter
Another vote for using a SAK.
Ackley
I like the sound biter, smaller and lighter than the SAK also cheaper I think I paid £
tikka.223
Another vote for SAK,you wont go far wrong.
beanieboy
I have a Parker Hale - slimmer than the Sak, but longer and a bit heavier. All I hear is the click of the firing pin and the thud of the round hitting. Not bad for less than £30.
TaxiDriver
+1 Vote for the SAK 'click and the bunnie's gone'
bennyblanco
SAKO-longer but lighter the quietest IMO not that it makes a lot of difference with subs

Mark-70
Scirocco was my choice the .22lr.
triscrx
SAK on my .22LR CZ and a Parker Hale on the BRNO SA and I dont notice a difference Id go for the SAK with Sub sonic ammo. Even my .17HMR has a SAK thinking of it.

Paddy Galore!
third eye tactical, a nice little over the barrel job that's shorter than a SAK. better built too.
bicykillgaz
SAKO-longer but lighter the quietest IMO not that it makes a lot of difference with subs i agree, i've had or tried several including parkerhale, sirocco, webley, jsr, sak and my current one the sako and the sako is the most quiet. invisiblescarecrow did a test video ages ago and sako came out on top there too. Dekers
third eye tactical, a nice little over the barrel job that's shorter than a SAK. better built too. Yep..but no advantage over a SAK moderation wise on a .22lr (by Third Eyes own admission!!!!!!) and about twice the money. To be fair I have spoken to them and I am considering one for the HMR (dedicated hole), maybe, who knows, I keep trying on the HMR and all that happens is I waste money, get upset and wonder why I did it. Cheers!
Dave-G
Soundbiter for me too - plastic so it don't corrode, easy to strip and clean the minimal internal steel parts, ever so light for all night lamping on foot and only 4" long for in car manouverability. RRP about £30 I tink.
bullet boy
The SAK is good enough!!
