rimfire4969
Can't decide BFG or AT2, i have read reviews on both they seem quite even, unfortunitly my local dealer does not stock either so it will be an online purchase so i am going by photos alone. I think i do about 50 / 50 on and off road, one shoot is always muddy. Maybe i have over looked something These will be going on my 110. Your views please. al4x
BFG's every time if you can afford them, definitely much better than the grabbers both on and off road, thats coming from having two sets of BFG's and now running on grabbers
paddywack12
Ive got Grabbers on my Disco and cant fault them. Do the same job as goodrich but £50 a corner cheaper.
Billy.
Anyone got a spare BFG 245/75/16 knocking around?
magman
Hated the road noise on the bfg's so went for the AT2's never looked back
truckboy1
BFG's a little more expensive but as the old addage goes you get what you pay for

Billy.
Hated the road noise on the bfg's so went for the AT2's never looked back What road noise?! Surely you didn't fit them to an electric car
gixer1
At2's on at the moment and find them really good, have "pushed it" a few times in the disco and that's nearly 3 ton trying to get them to let go! Have also seen my mates disco pull a loaded car trailer out of a field in 18" of snow and it just pulled it through no problems, really this comes up a lot on here and you have to decide the use, I can only say in all the time I've been offroad with 4x4's I've been stuck (stuck as in needed towed out) 4 times, and in those occasions tyres probably wouldn't have made an **** of difference. My offroad miles v's on road would be offroad 15% on road 85% so I know I can trust the AT2's to hold the road and stop me! Moors Man
From my experience either are fine. The Grabbers are a bit louder, but they are a lower profile. Not really tested them in mud, however, with BFG's the only thing that stopped forward motion was ground clearance. (I chose to ignore 6-8 inches of liquid clay as that stopped vehicles shod in Bronco Grizzly Claws) As to mileage BFG's are brilliant but as only covered 10k on the Grabbers cannot really comment. Best of luck

Billy.
never an issue with mine either I'm sure you'll agree that you don't deserve a 4x4 if you think BFGs are noisy
al4x
unless he missed the AT bit and had MT's

Billy.
I heard the AT2's are getting banned by the EU for breaking some stupid noise limit... Myth or fact anyone??
al4x
thats the rumour of why they are being replaced by the ones that look rather like road tyres
vampire
Had at2s fitted to my frontera (255/16/55) and there is no difference in road noise or handling, the off road ability has improved and was very impressed with them on the fields. Would recomend grabber at2 to anyone
rabbiter
i hope its a myth mate, otherwise ill have to change mine, ,yeeaahh got to be a myth... DAZ
chrispti
I think the BFG's on my jimny are about 5 years old by now, still LOADS of tread left and still in very good condition I think the car will pack up before the tyres do Not noisy either
spaniels
Sadly not a myth had a blow out at 70+ on m42 on monday on front left, i can't replace it with another At2 as not made anymore because of EU ruling. Rubbish, although BFG AT are still just ok according to the EU?!!! So have to replace both front set with normal Grabber AT's which is going to look a little odd... So from only looking to replace one tyre I need to replace both fronts! Anyone have any other suggestion?
Billy.
Anyone have any other suggestion? I'd have a look on eBay. Plenty of tyres on there.
al4x
I'm with Billy look on ebay. Personally unless I was driving an X5 I wouldn't fit the new AT just looks hopeless at clearing mud from the tread. I'd mix BFG's and AT2's if that was the only option
Beretta28g
I have just got some General Grabber HTP Tyres on my Jimny. No complaints so far, but anything would be better than what was on there before.
spaniels
Well replaced the front left with the new Grabber AT which isn't too bad but money is tight this month so fitting the other front Grabber AT next month... £130 each not too bad.... Oh for reference I have Shogun DiD 3.2, which has been faultless and very good off road. Its up too 150k and never gone wrong.
