Simon123, No disrespect to the chap that bought it as it's still a v good buy! But it's probably an extrema 1, the 2nd version is around that price,(1500).

Either way it's a very good buy, I'm just very jel if he got an xtrema2 for that money :good:

That's one h*ll of a deal mate, they cost around £1500 new, absolute bargain ;) ;) ;)

It looks to be a real bargain so thanks for the heads up. I'm still undecided over these guns. I want an auto but don't want to spend too much, but then the reliability issue does seem to come up quite a lot. Are they really that bad, or are they just not quite as good as a Browning or Beretta? Lets face it, at 1/4 the price, what do people expect?

A mate of mine had the old 3.5 model - that wouldn't cycle short field cartridges well unless they were over 32g, and preferably 70mm not 67.5.

Perhaps this is where the problems are coming from? People expecting a heavy fowling gun to cycle light clay loads? If I do get one it will be the 3" model as even my old Xtrema had the odd grumble about 67.5mm shells!

Who's had problems with these first hand? And who owns one and thinks it's pretty good value?

Neil, If you're afte a semi auto, I'm thinking of putting my Beretta 301 or 302 (can't remember exact model) on the market.

Well RFD would be £25 each end? So I guess it depends on the fuel economy of Terry's pimp-mobile. Plus - we get them in our hands a bit quicker.

I also think the old guy is just looking for stuff to do! I often see him asleep in a field, perched against a tree.

It is back to sleep under the tree again I suppose, I thought I was going to get an all expenses paid day out.

Oh well never mind in a couple of hours I will have forgotten all about it.

Of course it is but for somebody looking for a budget starter gun its ideal!

I would agree. Thing is, if you can find an xtrema around garyb's price, it isn't actually much more than what some shops charge for a hatsan,(new) :yp: and you would get your monies back again on the xtrema if you sold. Not knocking the hatsan though, there's just better buys if you're lucky :good:

Yeah of course, id be much happier paying a few quid more for the beretta but at that price they are very thin on the ground and like you say if you look at it as an investment the hatsan doesnt even come close! You would Most likely make money on the xtrema at that price!

It might be worth looking a little closer at the listing

Mark has indeed ONE second hand Escort in black and another in Camo - at £200 not a bad price at all, but they are 2nd/h and at that price probably show a bit of wear.

New Escorts are around the £350 mark, plenty listed, but for those who wanted 1/2 a dozen new Escorts for a couple of hundred, looks like you are out of luck

the original advert did say NEW and if you look at my post above the seller did say there was incorrect listing on the ad :good:
