Sloter
Hi, I was just sat pondering, is this county in one of the worst states it’s ever been in? or is it that as I get older I’m starting to pay more interest into the news etc? I’m sure some of our older users will be able to answer. I mean it’s not rocket science now is it? We manage to outsource our helpdesks and call centres to India, to people who can barely speak our language! Why on earth don’t we outsource our prisons to Thailand? Lets be honest how many little toe rags would be stealing off people if they knew they could spend 5 years in the Bangkok Hilton? I recently read it costs about £40k a year to keep someone in prison. Offer the Chinese or Thai’s £10k a year. I’m sure they’d leap at it. Political correctness, one of my personal favourites. From the change of the kids nursery rhyme baa baa black sheep to baa baa rainbow sheep! I’m sure we’ve all seen rainbow sheep whilst out shooting! I mean ***! I’m from Britain and a Brit is an abbreviation not a racial slur! So why someone from Pakistan is not a #### is beyond me! Asylum seekers! Why are they here! Because it’s so bloody appealing! And they WILL continue to come until it is not appealing! If it was up to me I’d close own the golf courses and use them as shooting ranges for the failed applicants who don’t want to leave and a character test of all new applicants! I’m not naive I am aware that taxes will always go up they always have and always will. At the end of the day whatever government is in power they will all put taxes up to pay for things, my biggest problem is that none of the money seems to be going into looking after us the hones hard working people. They are all to bothered about looking after other countries, my farther always said charity starts at home! So my question is was it always this bad or is it me? I remember Margaret Thatcher being in power but don’t remember much about her politics! But from what I’ve read she didn’t stand for any **** from the sinking of the Belgrano in the Falklands to the Iranian embassy incident with the SAS. Can you imagine that today? They’d all be given 4 bed detached houses and enough money to bring all there family over! Right had my rant now! So any thoughts?
Dunkield
I don't think it is ever great Sloter, sometime it seems worse than others, you just hae to rise above it. I, like many on here, lived through the Thatchers years and they felt great at the time, I have never had so much money, I made 20k in 12 months on a 1 bedroom flat that cost me 40k!!, life seemed pretty good but then it all went t*ts up as the economy imploded and we all paid the price - so, what goes around comes around. . . Someone some where in the world would give their right arm for a tenth of what you have, just remember that
Pedro
I've just come off the phone to a mate who emigrated to Perth in Austarlia. He hasn't regretted a minute of it. I think a few things need to be tightened up here and then it might get better. Policing Newham in East London last night, lots of tension between different ethnic communities at the moment. Unfortunately, I think it'll only get worse. God help us when the Olympics come P.

Australia has massive immigrant issues, I spent 2 weeks with a guy from Perth last year and they say all the same things as us, people just wash up on their shores and then get established and bring their whole families over, hammer the welfare state etc etc. I have to say he was the most racsit person I have met in many many years, and we were in America at the time so every time he went into one I was looking round expecting to get thrown out of wherever we were And in his words Perth is the ***** of Australia, so don't be surprised to see you mate back here, or at least move to the more civilised end of the country
Axe
Don't get me started on this, its the bloody EU. What needs tightening up is a bloody noose around Blairs neck. He's bent over backwards and let the EU straight up his rectum. What should have happened is some should have taken that oppotune moment to size it squarely with a size 11!!! Dump Labour and drop the EU.
Mungler
It's all about common sense and accountability. I always said that if I won the Euro lottery I would start up the "common sense party". There would be no policital affiliation, but evey policy would have the "common sense test" applied to it. Common sense is a wonderful thing. When applied to much of the Country's recent problems, common sense will always provide an answer. I thought the Torys had mad some progress with Cameron, but I can see that he has mis judged the mood of the nation and appears to have put all his eggs in the "green" basket. He should realise that the people who work, who pay their taxes, strive to raise their children right and who keep out of trouble (i.e. those that make the Country) couldn't give a flying **** about long term climate problems when the here and now is getting more and more unbearable - we can't sort out and have no plan for the short term problems: national health service, crime, education. If they want a long term policy to work on and to score against labour on why don't they have a go at solving the pension crisis? New Zealand is the place I hear. Don't Barrymore live there now!! Thats one reason not to go. Sod barrymore, did no one hear rosie goldsmiths programme on radio 4 about maori politics in NZ earlier this year. They have just formed a political party for moari's only, dedicated to getting rid of the whites! Maori's have claimed all the foreshore, sea bed and the air because ownership of the aforesaid items was not included in the original charter when they made the islands over to britain. Thier party is funded by the mongrel mob and black power gangs, which you probably saw on ross kemp's programme on the worst gangs in the world. Lovely! I remember britain pre thatcher, with the three day week, power cuts, the lights going out at 6.30pm and the winter of dicontent with refuse everywhere. 1979 was the first election I voted in and we really needed a change. Things aren't so bad now, but if you don't change a government regularly they begin to think it's their right to rule! The conservatives did, now labour do too! Time for a change I think, don't really care who just as long as they do not have a large majority in the house of commons. Long live the powerful backbencher. Rant over, sorry. Gemini
YUP! the old saying is still true, in that governments, like baby’s nappy’s, need changing regularly and for the same reason. G.M.
Lord Geordie
Too many BLIND DEAF and MUTE people in politics is whats happened They turn a blind eye here and there Your worries and cautions fall on Deaf ears And they DON'T speak up for the UK population anymore. They are too busy taking back hand payouts and bending over so the EU can well and truely shaft this country till it falls apart. The doors need shut (slammed in the face of immigration) and the ones here deported. EU needs to be told to take a long walk from a short pier Human rights act needs REPEALED Scum who RAPE - MURDER - And PEADOPHILES need a long drop from the gallows The return of Conscription Those who Steal cars and break into houses need to be PUBLICLY flogged to humiliate them Basically this country needs to take a HUGE step backward and toss the EU where it belongs ( in a Fetid Sewer ) LG
il cacciatore
New Zealand is not the place to be according to this Kiwi bird I was talking to. You know how a couple of months ago in Australia there were anti-ethnic minority riots? Well thats supposed to be New Zealand in a couple of years because there are some real issues brewing under the surface. Firstly they have a real problem with immigration with people coming from just about every country and because New Zealand isnt a big country - considering its the north island that has the concentration of population - has led to a rapid increase in property prices. You can easily pay $1,000,000 for a plot of land and a mediocre one at that. Secondly the New Zealand government has volunteered to house all of the South Pacific islanders if/when their respective islands are submerged by the rising sea levels. There is a deep riff between the Mauri community and the white New Zealanders, they do not integrate with each other. There is terrific gang violence too. Industry and commerse arent that brilliant with tourism being the main industry along with farming. You'd be jumping from the frying pan into the fire by immigrating there according to her. henry d
So are we all willing to let the government look back to the 1851 census and beyond to make sure we are who we THINK we are. Then the Australians who were not born there before Cooke`s time get Re(de)-transported,the Highlanders that were "clearanced" off their land will return and be able to buy it as a right, and all those that emigrated to America will go back to the land they have most blood for......... Breath in........it could be a squeeze

Lets go back further, we could all go back to france, germany, denmark, even italy if you want! Let people emigrate if they want to, I'm all for it. As many non shooting, hunting, fishing urbanites as possible . But there are real race problems in both Australia and now in NZ. And if you were a shooter you would not want to go to australia as many of the states are, or have already, banning shooting game. You would also find their labour party even more facistic than our own. Ft
