njc110381
Guys, I'm thinking of getting a bigger safe. I'm fed up with messing around and knocking guns in my RL7+. Apart from the Buffalo River stuff, what's available? I recon I want a 14-16 gun, keypad lock would be ideal but not essential. Any ideas? GBS
if you have a suitble room or cupboard a gun room is likely to be cheaper than a really big safe. PM if you want more details. G
njc110381
That's the trouble, finding the space. I've just seen the spec my RFD works to as he's just moved - I could easily copy it if I had the space.

hendersons
Buy another small cabinet and just use that. Should save on a bit of messing about. Or you could give me your combi gun and your hush power that should save you a bit of room Nick

njc110381
I did think of just shoving in another RL7+ next to the one I have. But then that's two keys to carry and I don't really want to. Is the 16 gun Infac really only £200ish? That sounds far too cheap? EDIT.. Looks like the Infac 16 gun is only 50mm wider than my RL7+? Seems a bit tight and not enough of a step up but thanks for the suggestion. Has anyone ever made their own safe? If a person had a decent size closet ( and could talk the Mrs.into abandoning it-- with perhaps a bribe) I am thinking it could be lined with something akin to concrete backer board we use under ceramic tile. It is 1/2" thick and fireproof and would be almost impossible to break through. You could employ a steel entry door with a deadbolt. The inside could be laid out to have ample room for all your valuables.

Why not ask bratton sound for 2 barrels keyed a like? shouldn't be an issue then, looking at the dimension of th infac 16 does seem optimistic, Rottner do some big ones but not cheap. codit75
I have an infac 16 gun safe, my mate recons that i would fit 20 shotguns in. No key pad, but a very reasonable price. Codit

Is the 16 gun Infac really only £200ish? That sounds far too cheap? Thats what I'd do and then keep the main keys to the other safe in the ammo cabinet in the other safe and hey presto still only one set to carry about. If you move its far easier smaller safes than huge ones as is finding somewhere to put them

I know there's an issue if someone breaks into that one first they have the keys to open the other but if they can open one surley they could break open both. steve_b_wales
I use three gun cabinets. Two are fitted side by side, and are bolted together from the inside. The third is in a different part of my home. The keys for each cabinet are clearly marked, and are kept in a safe. My FEO stated that he was more than happy with the set up. P~MX
best one ever I've seen when in the gun trade was Vouge safe that held 20 guns,it was Superb quality, with removable shelves all covered in cloth, it had to be wheeled in on a buggy and took 6 men to lift it, you get them at Donal McCloy's in Northern Ireland
