Billy.
That did make me laugh. There's a sort of style to 'calling a runaway dog' which he shows us all.

Dunkield
I would expect nothing less from a terrier but I thought labs were supposed to be well behaved Would be a handy dog for a bit of driven deer shooting though. kent
To all those who think your dog is rock steady, try walking them into a heard of deer while its running loose I hope it had a good ending for all with the road, the traffic, the deer. Frenchieboy
If it's any of you guys on here that own "Fenton" I don't think it would be too wise now to put a post up to say how well behaved and trained "Fenton" is! "Fenton, Fenton, oh Jesus Christ, Fenton"!
Dunkield
To all those who think your dog is rock steady, try walking them into a heard of deer while its running loose We regularly put roe and muntjac up when beating, and I am mightily impressed when they run through the line and guns dogs just glance at them and not even think about getting off after them. Gully
Welcome to my world. I live on the edge of Ashridge Forest with 3,000 deer in it and my GWP used to chase badly. I found it quite hard to knock out of him but we're getting there.

Gully
..and that, for all the haters out there, would be classic correction scenario for an eCollar. [On the dog I mean ] So how would you use an e collar to sort this? all the vids I've found on the net about collars are for american style obedience training where they are used on very low power just to 'tap' the dog to reinforce commands. i can't see our friend Fenton paying much attention. Not a hater of collars, but I've thought about this for my dog before he gets himself killed on the road and not sure of the technique you'd actually use.
