willy1
Here in Kent on my permission not seen any pigeons in numbers YET,the rape is so far completely untouched, and is about 3-4inches high, last year there were thousands (yes, thousands) of pigeons on the fields. :hmm: Alan
motty
hopefuly now the pigeons are getting about more on rape, farmers will start to put more bangers, flags, scare crows, and get more people shooting them to keep them moving about more I would say the opposite. The less gas guns etc,the better.

yickdaz
i understand what matts saying it does help if there is some bangers, gas guns or shooters out,in the area, or even on a rape field close by it will keep em moving and stop them settling on a field nearby that you can,t get at , shot many times with someone at the other end of the same field, and it stopped them settling out of range and produced a bag or

Pointless putting them out all the time. If there were 300 birds on the field when you arrived, i'd suggest you turned up too late.
Outlander
Been keeping an eye out for them round here but not a good showing so far, spoken to a lot of shooters and they are all watching and waiting.

Shooting Tom
Still no pigeons on rape in the milton keynes area, there is nothing to be seen around here at the moment hoping the cold weather and a bit of snow will put them on the rape come the new year. motty
had some of that, setting up early in the morning before dawn, its fine if you want an hrs shooting and be back home for breakfast, apart from that its a waste of time I have set up before first light on winter rape and finished with over 100 pigeons on several occassions. Obviously, that doesn't happen every time.
