CZ550Kevlar
Nothing in my neck of the woods, tryed flushing them with rockets but they seem to be keeping out of the way, neighbouring woods seem to have some colonies but not on the rape until mid january by the look of it. Hundreds and hundreds of crows though!!!

Been out a couple of times this week but, despite recces showing loads on rape fields, the birds have just not appeared. To be fair, weather has been poor but me and mate spent several hours on different days watching fields, and still had little to shoot at. Ive been a bit busy game shooting ,but had a client out yesterday who shot 38 for around 100 shots .Was very busy first thing then they came in bigger flocks after the first few hours making thing a bit more hard but still a good bag for the time of year . Out tomorrow myself for a morning

Out tomorrow myself for a morning Nice one! Place we were at today, I saw 3-400 last week and farm manager reported a load too. But they just seem to move around several nearby rape fields, without consistently hitting the same one all the time. Still at least we've been. My mate didn't fire a shot today in four hours, I got two.

Magycgsps
think were lacking strong winds went out but was few mins late a setting up Flock came over and settled out of range. walked them off and they went into next field. Few birds came over decoys but a bit to high to shoot at. One trio came over about 25 yards up. managed to kill one outright. Not A productive morning but at least they are about and feeding on the rape. Hopping for better days to come.

Catweazle
I saw the first on the linseed field this morning whilst walking the dogs, about 80 I reckon but possibly with a few ferals mixed in as there were some with a lot of white on them. They didn't appear very happy, constantly lifting and settling, perhaps they won't be returning to eat the linseed. The crows seem to love it though. Catamong
NEEDS COLD WEATHER :good: Well, this time last year it was about 5 below most days and there wasn't a pigeon to be seen, the cold weather and snow cover had driven them off to other parts of the Country where there was less snow and therefore more food available. The fact is, Winter Rape is not their food of choice, they will feast upon Ivy Berries, Acorns, Hawthorn berries and pretty much everything else before they start hammering the Rape, "Cold Weather" has nothing to do with it, they've got to eat every day, be it mild or cold, it's all about availability of food supply during these short Winter days. browning n spaniel
needs to do somthing regarding weather, starting to get a bit ****** off now , all the effort of finding um, watching um for few days , then setting up then they decide NOT TO DECOY but fly 100 yards out and 100 foot up in the air, aaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrr
