docholiday
Was up at the lakes yesterday, blowing old boots, nothing really happening, only a load of coots bobbing about when this happened, on the other side of the lake, approx 1/2 mile away so massive crop hence naff pics, but worth recording. Fox managed to get out to one of the little gravel islands, after the teal, wigeon and geese, along came these magpies who gave it so much grief, dive bombing it that it cleared off next it left along this gravel spit, few nervous looking geese Then seemed to walk on water through the ducks, who decided it was also time to clear off, the fox didnt take any birds due to the magpies harassing it sorry about the quality of the pics but thought you might like to see them anyway :good:

Billy.
I've had an idea and I've searched around and can't find anything... What if you set up a camera from a high point, looking out onto a field. Get it set up for night shooting and use an infrared cannon to illuminate the field. Get a timelapse sequence going and leave the camera overnight. My hope is that you'll get a trail of eyes moving around the night and make quite an interesting video. Thoughts?! Hi Billy unfortunately there is no access to that side of the lake to leave the birds in peace, if I was allowed over there I would be there every day as so much goes on over there, but nearest you can get is about half a mile. this chap came down about an hour after the fox left, again apologies for the pic but it is an awfully long way away, you couldn't see him with the naked eye This is original photo with 840mm lens (600 plus 1.4 TC)
