No more pigeon days to be advertised

I would suggest, if you decide to take anyone else, that your guests are advised that they must sign a simple piece of paper which gets them to agree in writing that if they venture alone on to any land you have provided them with shooting on, that they agree that they commit Armed Trespass by doing so.

You can protect your farmers and yourself in this way, and no 'proper' shooter would worry about signing such a document.

Also agree that this is a very good idea for any one who takes another person as a guest out shootin with them, its then in black and white no arguments and both keep a copy with the dat they were allowed on the land.

You reaction is totally understandable.

I agree you should name the person and perhaps the mods should consider exclusion from the site (which exists to meet the needs of legitimate pigeon shooters).

I would ask you reconsider not taking anyone else Fenny, the one should pay for their actions, not the many and so many are grateful for your help.

Al the best for the New Year Fenny.

Its real bloody shame. All you see on nearly all the shooting forums is people asking for somewhere to shoot and its very rare to see anyone generous enough to offer shooting on there permission. I think after this they will be even fewer. I do think you should name and shame in case someone else makes the mistake of showing the culprit their permission. I never got to shoot with Fenny and was hoping to go when me sgc came through :( . Finding permissions is very difficult and i can see from the short time i have been on this forum Fenny has given loads of people a chance to shoot and no doubt has passed on a lot knowledge which in itself is priceless!!!!

Fenny, I've shot on one of your 'invite' days and enjoyed it. My initial reaction to this was to suggest you name the miscreant to stop him doing it again. However before you do, give him the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps he made a genuine mistake (although I'm not sure how he could) and might want to own up and apologise to you on the forum. At least that might help you reconsider you reaction (understandable that it is) and continue your generous offers.

All the best,

Sorry to hear about this fenny, it was only a couple of days ago I was saying how generous you are with your offers and some **** goes an does this.

I really think you should name and shame because you will be helping anybody else who's taking people they dont know out avoid the idiot.

Shame one idiot spoils it for the rest, NAME AND SHAME for the protection of others.

Having been on the receiving end of a thread like this where someone falsely accused me of the same sort of thing on hear ( However I was 100% totally innocent and they showed themselves for what they really are)

could I just say be 100% sure of who you are accusing and what you are accusing them of.

Its a low life thing to do if they have been up to no good, and would hope your farmer peruses it with your local police,

Agreed 100%, i think you should speak with the person concerned and find out their side of the story, it was either intentional, in which case, name, shame and ban from forum, or it was a genuine mistake and a severe mis understanding on their part that could be dealt with by means of education..

It is your permission and reputation at stake Fenny, you should follow the course of action that you feel appropriate to rectify the situation.

All the best.

Rich.

I remember that thread and it did come to mind when I saw this one. Pages and pages of people baying for your blood until the OP admitted it was all a complete misunderstanding and apologising  That's why I think that the alleged offender should have the chance to explain before they are named.

I have had a most enjoyable day with fenny on one of his permissions today ,thanks to him the first pigeon shooting I have done since August ,when he told me about this incident I could hardly believe my ears ,a genuine nice guy who has helped a lot of people out for nothing in return and some **** has the nerve to do that ,I hope he feels ashamed but I doubt it as he obviousley has no morals.
