Oh dear - that is not the world we live in now - lets share nicely - we are getting pretty good at it - March 17 for some July 12 for others - does it REALLY matter and do any of us really care any more - we all have to live on this island....

What's wrong with celebrating both?

You will find to a lot of people in N Ireland its just another day. Celebrated by some in N Ireland more so in the ROI America ect.

I know its only been on the TV and radio this past 2 days and in every school and shop through out the North..And thats why Monday is a bank holiday cause thats what you do when its just another day..

As some say live and let live if people want to go out and celebrate go for it. This being N Ireland things are never that simple. Saint Patrick's day was whether we like it or not hijacked by one side of the community as a flag waving exercise. Things are better now. PS. Working today and Monday unfortunately.

You could be right but trust me I am NOT a flag waver and I do my best to get on with everyone,So maybe just agree to disagree is the best option Good luck mate...
