Graham M
He is a RFD and in all honesty it wouldn’t surprise me if he was later released without any charges being brought. Unless, of course, the silly ****** HAS been supplying guns to criminals… ….in which case I hope they throw the book at him. G.M.

G.M. i know a friend who is an RFD could probably produce over 50 guns from his loft, and he just does gunsmithing. We have 20 in our house and we are not even RFD lisence holders. I suspect this is prehaps being blown out of proportion.... unless like G' says he has been selling to questionable characters. However.... i should watch out if i were you....: "Four firearms were seized at the second residential address and cash was found at all three. " looks like a few of us could be in for it

pin
Just goes to show the media can make it look exactly as they would like. I saw that, posted it but I have not seen any TV or listened to the radio at all today. Looked fairly nasty when I first saw it, now it sounds like its just a load of sensationalism from the media. The BBC has gone to the dogs.
dunganick
intrestingly i do know the fella who got done for this. My dad has just text me from sweeden to tell me so. He did have a website with lots of guns legitimatly for sale, however the website is now (not supprisingly gone) i have enfact posted links to this site several times. The fella who ran this site 'mick' was a cracking shot on skeet, and i would be very supprised if he had done anything which is being suggested. Ferret Master
I just watched the article on sky news and it is being run by people that don't have a clue about guns. The reporter said they are checking that none are about to go off or explode. A neighbour said he was a very nice man and other than the fact he was a member of a gun club I know nothing bad (or words to that affect) about him. Although I think it has been blown out of proportion as many of the guns are antiques we will soon see if he's clean. FM
dunganick
mick was a nice fella, he was a member at Hawley Gun Club (one of my regulars) shot every weekend and won skeet on a 25 straight every time. Very into his antiques, genuinly supprised.

Graham M
some of the pics of bullets all over the floor and guns next to them in the news didnt look good what a mess should they not have been locked away ? If the truth be known the police probably knocked them over and caused them to scatter all over the place. The thing that really gives me the needle is the fact that if he IS clean no-one in the media will even bother to retract any of the **** that they have printed, OR to try and clear up the matter. They will simply ignore it and go on to some other rubbish. G.M.
pin
Don't know if any of you saw it when it was on, Monkey Dust was a very cutting edge hard-hitting satirical cartoon series on BBC3, ran for 3 series. One of the characters in that once came out with the line "By the power vested in me by news international, I proclaim that every man is innocent until speculated against". Sad, but true. This guy could be the most legit in the country, but what good is that if it comes out? Who will care then, his neighbours and the local community have already made up thier minds - and I doubt sky news will run a full-day breaking news story detailing every single word and action should it come out he's done nowt wrong. NorfolkBoy
Hmmmmmmmm.... Operation Trident dates back to 1998 and currently has 290 police officers and an unknown number of support staff investigating gun related crime in the Metropolitan area..... You can't help but wonder that those who have to account for the vast budget that is required to keep this operation going must occasionally need A RESULT to justify its existence.... According to the BBC the last two convictions of note from the operation were in 2004 and 2005 so maybe they had to give someone a 'tug' if only for the PR value... Or I may be wrong.. Either way its more bad news for the shooting community. I notice that this was linked to a raid in New Jersey USA (where I live so of some interest to me) but neither the ATF website nor the local press have any details of this... Makes you wonder doesn't it?

palombier
Norfolk Boy Trident investigate black on black shootings in London. Their last successful conviction was earlier this year when the person who was responsible for shooting a 7 year old child and her father was convicted at the Old Bailey. It was featured on Crimewatch this week. Regards P

As an upright honest citizen I can assure you that I've got mine safely locked up in the shotgun cabinet. Did you notice the close up pic of that sinister looking, black 12 bore cartridge ?
