Actionpigeons
20,11,12. Went on to some land I shoot today to shoot a flight line. I shoot this flight line every now and then and over the past few years I have made a bit of a natural hide under a big sitter tree for the dog and me, along with a log for me to sit on. The wind was blowing strong, so I decided to take the realwings decoy I bought a few weeks ago to see if it would bring the birds in. I set the realwings decoy (kite) so that it was above and behind the sitter tree that I shoot from under. It didn’t take long for the birds to start coming in, I had some very testing shoots in the wind and a good number of birds until rain stopped play. This was the first time I had used the kite on the flight line and it worked very well. Must admit they need a lot more than a ten-mile an hr wind that they say they will fly in, but pity good all the same.

BRNDL
What is a decoy kite? I could have an educated guess...a flighted pigeon on a string/something similar?
JDog
I know that flight line shooting is your thing and judging by the bag and your natural hide arrangements you are good at it. Just think of the rest of us still carting our kit over boggy fields and all of the palaver that goes with setting up a hide, the rotary and the decoys. Actionpigeons
What is a decoy kite? I could have an educated guess...a flighted pigeon on a string/something similar? Hope I’m all right answering your question as I don’t want to advertise the item but if you go on ebay and put in (reel wings flying pigeon decoy) there is a video you can watch on the item. It looks nothing like a pigeon but it does pull them in. I bought one a cpl of weeks back and have used it a few times when its been windy enough,. The add says it will fly in a 10 mph wind but it needs more like 15 mph wind
JDog
I've just seen those decoys on Ebay. Do they really work? They do look odd.

Actionpigeons
I've just seen those decoys on Ebay. Do they really work? They do look odd. All I will say is a cpl of mates that I take out shooting every now and then, have both bought one each since they saw me use it.
