fruitloop
there is quite a few of us on hear that do it. don,t expect it to happen in one day! if you like to mess about and tinker it might be up yr street but . if you want to buy the kit and make shot you will get dishearteden and loose interest quickly. some days it works and some days it dont it all depends on the way the moon and the sun lines up
johnnytheboy
LOL thats what i thought, I didnt think it would be something that would be a hit a switch type thing and away you go, but i did think once it was set right it would eventually be a relibable way of getting shot! Is the only way todo it like you see on you tube with the pan and the little screw in bolt things?

hanky
Dripping lead is the way to go considering the cost of bought lead, it is very cheap if you can get it running right, NOW DONT FORGET IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE - the more its out of shape the better it performs I have been at it for years and pigeons, pheasants etc havn`t complained yet

Uniformity of size and shape is only essential for fast commercial volumetric loading. Patterns? Nah! fortune
Johnny, are you from Kent by any chance? "Is it a bird"? "Is it a plane"? No it the famed shot making m/c. This thing is like the Loch Ness Monster. Every one (well almost) has heard of it but has any one got proof that it exists? I spoke to the guy on the phone once about a mec reloader part and he seemed an amicable sort of fellow. He said "if your down this way come and shoot a few clays with us for the fun of it". Unfortunatly he didn't have the part that I needed though.

I would like to try this but need to know how much of a ball ache it is to get this up and running! Youtube is real life. Truth of the matter for most is it's easier to just buy some. A shotmaker isn't like a toaster, you have to spend time and learn how to get the best out of it along with the expense of getting properly set up. Basically you get out what you put in and short-cuts don't work. I have just bought some from "sitsinhedges" on this forum-he made it himself and its some of the best i have seen-you could contact him-he's a nice guy to deal with Very generous comment but I've just about got enough for my own needs now and that's it since I let the shotmaker go. I have got a few no6 drippers knocking about for anyone making a shotmaker themselves, and 2000 each of 20g Z19 and 12g Z21 wads since I've not got enough lead to fill them all now :( if anyone is looking  Edited December 31, 2012 by sitsinhedges
