TaxiDriver
Only a small thing but goes to reassure one that there are still some nice people about, I grabbed a handful of change and popped round the local Morrisons to get a few bits, for a healthy home cooked dinner this arvo and brekkie in the morning, Got what I wanted and got to the tills which were chocka block, So, unusually for me I thought I'd give the self scan thing a whirl (too technical for me) Scanned all my items one by one, and put each one in the 'bagging area' , click 'Finish and Pay' started putting me money in the hopper, Damn and blast I was 13pence short Summoned over the assistant to find out how to delete an item so I could leave something off, christ on a bike !! Should have seen her face, anyways, this chap who was ahead of me and just finishing up, said "Here ya go fella, I'll give ya 13p " I was, pleasantly taken aback, and thanked him for his kindness. Guess, what goes around comes around hopefully.

neil3728
Very nice of that man, now you have to remember his generosity and pay it forward by helping someone in the future. Edited January 27, 2013 by neil3728

inca
i try and do little things like this when i can, like driving out a pay and display carpark and pass on my ticket to someone coming in before they pay, they always look un sure to let their window down when i point dont and signal to un do their window then when i pass the ticket to em they always have a great smile for ya. treat others as you your self would like to be treated. Cosd
There's a local petrol station that has a small box at the till that you can throw in any coppers you may have as change. If you put petrol and you go over by a penny or two (as you do) you can take that from the box if you have no change. Been that way for years and there's always some money in the box. WelshLamb
I bought a homeless person a cup of coffee ad a bacon roll in Folkestone last weekend, much to the disgust of my colleagues. The old guy was made up
njc110381
You're right, it is nice to hear that things like this still go on. It makes the world a nicer place for everyone and I like to think that if I was in that position I'd do the same. A couple of quid is nothing to 99% of the population, but as you've pointed out even 13p has made you a happy man! Last time I bought a homeless guy a pasty he fed half of it to his dog. The next time I see him I'll buy him a pasty and some dog food too - he obviously cared a lot for the old mutt because it looked in better condition than he did! kev56
I saw a homeless man sleeping inside a big cardboard box outside the train station this morning. Not wanting to disturb him, I crept over and put a Starbucks coffee cup on top of his box. He immediately woke up and said, "Thank you." "No problem." I smiled. He looked at me again and said, "It's empty." I said, "I know, it's meant to be a chimney."
