dazzyboi
Im making myself some DIY Hide poles to keep my cammo netting up, i have gone for the 4 pole jobby which are durable plastic garden stakes (purchased from the garden centre in B&Q), going to have a top hook, middle hook and bottom hook on each pole to allow extra securing of netting just incase the wind sets in. The poles are about 6ft in height but will be cut down (They are plastic, and very durable, they already have the pointed base) i also have the screw in hooks and some brown leccy tape to take any shine off the hooks. The green colouring of the poles will be broken up with some brown paint i have left over from painting the fence. Here is the pictures of Poles, hooks and leccy tape. Will update you when the work progresses later on tonight. Any tips would be great

dazzyboi
Ill have to upload the pics later, one pole has bit the dust already, lol, my fault i suppose, i took it out today and pushed it way too hard into really hard mud and i crimped it, i might need to attach something so i can put my foot on it. Pushkin
I got 3 of those washing line poles at a street market for £2:00 each and they are the bees knees! Complete with top hooks and adjustable for height - only problem is fitting a means of pushing them into the ground. Anyone got an idea on this? I'll spray them up or use a bit of camo tape where ness. I'm going to be getting a net/blind within the next few weeks so i'd love to know how well they hold the net on those type of poles. Are your ones flexible? abit bendy? Mine are, feel like they going to snap but they seem to be fine for the job, the foot pedal will help and stop the bending. Yeah, they have a reasonable amount of give, but like you say, they have a foot pedal too so I reckon they'll do the job a treat. The only thing i'm not sure about are style of the fence poles hooks and the fixings/holes on the blind i'm thinking of getting, will tehy match up ok. Lord Geordie
I bought the Green washing poles for about £10 for the 4 with adjustable tops and the hook on. Extra hook on security can be in the form of those old freezer bag ties you used to buy they are disposable when finished As for the spike i am going to order a few of these then slide the pole over the top and see how they go spikes They look fine and should work a treat LG
