Heads up for the 870 owners. There's a magazine tube extension on the bay. I found it by just putting "magazine extension" in as the search. Its not mine and I don't have any association with the seller. Just thought it may be a bargain for someone.

I think it has ended, i looked just after he posted and it didnt have long to go

Still on there, finishes tomorrow morning at half 11. bids at £5.50 at the moment. may even put a bid in myself then find the gun to go with it and if SHE kicks off about me buying a gun to fit bit I'm deffo going to mention the time she insisted on buying a house cus our dining table would look good in it!

I'm confused ??? If I bid and win this I'm breaking the law as I'll be changing my 870 into a section 1 I'm I correct ???

Even worse though if Mr big from the underworld bought this they could change their illigal 870 into a multishot  or have I missed something !

I'm sure your mag tube will be crimped if your shotgun is a sec 2 so no matter how long an extension you put on you won't be able to load more than 2+1.

And as for Mr big, he can buy what ever he wants from the gun dealing gangster in the pub down the road. I'm sure everyone on here are law abiding gun owners and have jumped thro too many hoops to earn our certificates to do something stupid, lose our licences and guns and end up looking at a 5 stretch.

Fitting an extension to a section 2 gun is not illegal provided you do not remove the crimp from the existing magazine tube, of course it would only be there for asthetic effect.

It would appear that a lot of Pumpgun owners have their weapons for that very reason! :whistling:

Ok well I hope I am allowed to do this?? I want to let fellow pump club that my pump is up for sale. I am a member with gunwatch but my private account never got activated. I PM'ed the moderator but this still hasn't been actioned a week or two on....

The sale is to subsidise against the cost of buying my Benelli M2, but don't worry I still have another pump! So still a member of Pigeon watch Pump Club ;)

So here goes... my gun.

Mossberg 500 12G, 28" barrel & moderated barrel - £450

Location - Windsor, Berkshire

Comes complete in original cardboard box with all user manuals, chokes, choke key, mossberg padlock.
The gun comes with two barrels, a 28" ported & ribbed multi-choke barrel and an additional hushpower barrel. The standard barrel has a hi-viz fibre optic sight which will be left on. The moderated barrel really works well with both normal loads and sub-sonic.
The gun is in perfect working order and cycles everything well. There are a few light marks on the barrel and mag tube from field use and were the shotgun has been pumped. But this is common on any pump action shotgun.
The action has velcro on the receiver, where I used to mount a velcro side saddle. This can be left on or taken off thats down to the buyer.
Not included in the sale, but available to buy is an picatinny rail, FAB defence For-end as seen on the Mossberg 590 and a limbsaver recoil pad.
With an RRP of £784
Will throw in a couple of box's of subsonic hushpower ammo with the sale.
Any questions please feel free to ask

I thought some of you guys might like to hear about a shooting trip some pumpers from four4islands took last weekend.

Myself & a few of the four4islands gang headed to Philippsburg in Germany for the Bayern Cup shotgun match, we have been making this trip annually since 2008 & from its early beginnings this event has grown to be one of the best practical competitions found in europe.

Philippsburg sits on the Rhine within the Baden-Wurttemberg region of Germany, seen here.... maps

We set off very early on Friday morning from the midlands & boarded the 9.20 chunnel out of Folkstone for the short crossing to Calais.

On arrival in France the sky was still grey & we had a rather damp start to the trip south, but at least the roads were empty as they usually are in France.

On arrival in Philippsburg we quickly checked into our usual hotel & then headed off to the range on the outskirts of town, it was good to see our Banners had arrived in good time & were up on the wall for when we arrived :-)

We then went to match registration & confirmed our arrival & had a quick look around.

2013-04-27111125_zps83358edd.jpg

There were some stands that were selling stuff we can no longer own but its always nice to window shop.

After a good nights rest we were at the range early on Saturday Morning & I was down to work on the stage that four4islands had sponsored, I was luck in the fact that the other three guys helping on the stage were all fellow brits & so there were no language difficulties.

There were over 120 competitors to get through on Saturday & thankfully only about half that number on Sunday, competitors came from all over europe for this match as its always great fun.

Luigi Silvestroni the current european pump champion on our stage with his nova.

Graham Hill another F4i shooter takes aim.

There were lots of pump guns around & also some interesting bobbing target mechanisms.

James Harris the NRA Target Shotgun Rep shot the match with his old Remington 870, not a great pic but the only one I have.

So after a busy day we headed back to the hotel for a shower & then out to the local Italian restaurant for something to eat & a few beers.

Sunday saw the remaining competitors complete the match.

After lunch on Sunday the four4islands gang hired a range & decided to brush up on our long neglected pistol shooting skills, & burned through some 600 rounds of 9mm in short order :good:

All too soon the fun was over & it was back to the awards, top honours went to the Serbian team & also to the Germans & Italians, the highest placed four4islands shooter came 6th in pump division so a good result for the pump club here :good:

After another night out on Sunday it was back on the road for the 660 mile ride home, a great weekend & the long wait for next years Bayern Cup begins.

Guys,

I do not own a pump and never have, but I have used them on ops whilst serving in the army and have to admit I am coming round to them. However I am very interested in some of the guns I have seen lately and was wondering how many of you actually use red dot sights?

Used red dot sights. Don't use them at present as for the competitions I shoot in a red dot would place me in the open category...

Found them very fast to use and excellent for slug shooting

I'd rate a red dot as better & faster than open sights or ghost-rings and MUCH better for accuracy than a plain bead
