theres a massive difference in costs over there, my stock was well under half price on american websites compared to midway uk's website.

...no **** Sherlock

I've found EVERY website in the USA to be MASSIVELY cheaper than MidwayUK - by a MINIMUM of 50% - in some cases USA prices were about 20% of what was being charged in the UK. Most USA prices seem to be about 60% cheaper...even adding on the P&P

I found my 870 Knoxx Stock on EbayUSA - was about £65 shipped

Thats why i was swaying towards the velcro rout, i like being able to drift out one pin on the 590 and drop the trigger unit out for cleaning.

I may look into knocking up a few carriers in leather or nylon, with a velcro base

Never used one & not a massive fan of the idea, but they do the job for some blokes so more power to them.

when i was looking for an agi stock i contacted loads of sellers in the us, both ebay and through their websites and not one would ship to the uk

i had a good saving a couple of weeks ago, i built one of evos night vision for my air rifle, camera was around £80 here and £30 there, my brother was on holidays at the time so i ordered from amazon.com and had it shipped to his house and he brought it home for me :)

midway arnt the cheapest, and i have heard stories about their service but their an easy way of getting hard to get parts here and i wanted to get my pump sorted asap as my wildfowling memberships come through

A few new bits arrived for me this weekend, once I decide what colour ceracote Im going to paint it ill get started, Im dressing up a well worn wingmaster that's been used to introduce many a budding PSG shooter over the years to the sport, its still going strong & should look better for a face lift.

Some of you guys who like pump guns may be interested in this.

Four4islands & Shield Shooting Centre put on a brilliant 2-Gun event for a great charity over the weekend of 7th-8th September, best of all 115 shooters had signed up, out of those 107 turned up over the course of the whole weekend to compete, which is a fantastic turn out for a practical style match & possibly the biggest for a number of years. :good:

I know its a little off topic but if you check out the photo's there are a few pump guns in action so I guess its almost there. :)

Also Riflecraft/Vortex ran a great side shoot event alongside the match, well done guys, great to see you there.

Here are some photo's of the weekends fun, all thanks to Ben Love & his skill with a camera.

Damn I wish I lived closer to you guys, I'm currently saving for a Sig 522 and have appropriate shotguns, a two gun comp would be great fun!

Im guessing you live closer to Shield in Dorset than I do.

Its an 187 mile run each way for me, so we usually make a weekend of it staying at a local pub B&B near Weymouth, this year the pub was packed with our group who took every room in the place & also filled the pub on Saturday night for a meal & beers, it was a great weekend & all for a good cause, if your ever interested in giving it a try I would be happy to help.

only just at 162 miles each way, over 3hrs drive so not too bad... closer than I thought!

I need to get this SIG sorted! :)

OK wow your further away than I expected, to keep the costs down get a couple of your mates interested & you can then car & room share.

The only club that does practical that I know of down your way is Two Rivers Shooting Club, but they are Devon & not Cornwall.

That's one of the troubles with this Practical business though, there's like 5 clay grounds within 10 miles of my house, I can practice and shoot as much as I like. I'm supposed to drive 160 miles so I can shoot practical.

You Jack Bauer types sure got stamina.

Where's the nearest PSG place to Bristol? That looks like a lot of fun !! Might ask our local ground to consider a PSG layout !! They can only say no ( once they've stopped laughing at me )

Contact Frome rifle & pistol club, they are hosting a round of the four4islands PSG series from next year & have a new quarry range, it will be one of the best psg ranges in the country before very long.

Anything out gosport way? Up here till January .... :0)

Hi Andy

From Gosport there are two good choices, first is Christchurch gun club, they hold what they call "action shotgun" shoots (PSG to the rest of us) on the 2nd Saturday of every month, I have not been personally but I know some of their members, keep an eye out for a chap called Iain Guy, he shoots there & is one of the top pump shooters in the uk.

http://www.christchurchgunclub.org/html/cgc_action.htm

Your second option is Romsey Shooting Club. http://www.romseyshootingclub.co.uk/

Which is a short trip down the M27 & then up the M3.

Not far from where the M3 joins the A303 they have a brilliant PSG ground Nr Popham, these guys really know their stuff & hold two rounds per year of the four4islands PSG series, the next one is on the 22nd of this month, drop them a line, im sure they wouldnt mind if you wanted to check it out on the day.

Good luck.

Wow, cool Topic!

My Dad used to call them 'Shucking Guns'

I have a Ithaca DS Police, has the parkarised finish.

I use, and get on well with it erm, down a clay club, it was cylinder as standard.

I had it multichoked with Briley chokes, it ALWAYS loads, I can hold it upside down and shake the hell out

of it and at the same time pull the slide forwards, has NEVER failed to load, any size of shell, oops, someone is going to start a Ithaca vs

Remmy 870 fight soon !!!
