Canis
they got your attention. But not my business i- went to visit a friend in stamford last year took him shooting somewhere a lot further away because information was freely available online for this s other shoot and i could not access info for grimsthorpe . Son of potter, content on the internet is freely available to all facebook content isonly freely available if you are happy for a comercial company( Facebook) to own more personal information about you and your friends and family than you ever thought existed, ok at the moment they are not doing anything particularly "nasty" with this info but thats their choice not yours . a domain name costs less than a £10 and web hosting for a small site should cost no more than about £3 -5 per month. companies are getting involved with facebook because it is fashionable not because its expensive to run a website. Anyway enough tangentialising this thread is picking a ground to have a charity shoot at ! .

As far as I know, They have my name, Email address, a few pictures and location of where i am/have been, Where I work a list of friends and pages that I like! correct me if I am wrong but what could go nasty with that? The way I see it, You do not have to have a facebook account to see the Grimesthorpe page (quick test logged out of my facebook and googled it, saw the page ok, without logging in) in essence it is a free website for advertising the shoot!! canthitathing
Both are very good grounds and should do a good job, but just a heads up as I know some PW members are also shooting the Benelli SP auto and that is on the 19th of May. Haven't decided whether to use it as a warm up for the Benelli or give it a miss if its the 18th yet. If you start now you might be warmed up for next years event..Just saying

Mr Potter
I'll pick him up if grimsthorpe wins You'd have to drive all the way there with the windows open, 32 and he's barely house trained I've owned two spaniels that were better behaved. Has it altered? from Auntie. Mrs Geek, who listens in most Sundays, assures me that Grange Farm has improved immeasurably since Oliver Sterling took over from the Grundys. Dunkield
I'm a bit nonplussed by the definitely not going to the event but I'll vote for a venue any way. Perhaps Teal can null those votes.

Teal
With 48 hours since the poll opened, and by a margin of 5 votes I am going to now close the poll- the date for the Charity Shoot is 1st June @ Grange Farm Shooting Ground I am really sorry for all of those that are unable to make this date, but to try and keep things fair we put it out to vote, and this one was the winner. If you are able to reschedule anything then that would of course be fantastic - next up will be deciding the Charity to support this year. I'll be traveling down from York on Friday afternoon, if anyone wants a lift let me know. So now a location has been decided, what happens now? Do i need to put my name down anywhere, and pay anything? Edited March 6, 2013 by neil3728
