countryman
Hi For those of you that use Red Diesel, for machinery of coarse, how much are you paying for a 200 litre drum. Chris
the enigma
Red went up in price at the beginning of the week. Not sure what you'd pay for 200 litres, but 2250 litres was costing £1510, so that's £0.67 per litre

Theres a boat yard up the road they charge 88p a litre for red if it`s for heating. They charge boat owners 88p heating. £1.40 a lit if its for propulsion. Total B./S. 25 lit for £5.00 that has to have been nicked of some poor Farmer.

shoot and be safe
25lts cost me £5.00 quid When was the last time you bought "cherry"? At that price, it must of been over 10 15 years ago, or it was knock off :yp: Last price I had for bulk (500 lts +) was 65p/l, however at the pump on the forecourt it is almost £1/l. Oil companies will deliver 500 lts. as a minimum, but they will only put it in to a tank not drums anymore
countryman
Thanks for the replys , looks like i am going to pay 200 pounds to get my drum filled this week at 1 pound a litre, not many places sell it here. Chris
shoot and be safe
There is only 5% vat on red Ring a few of the oil companies and ask if they will deliver and put it in barrels, it's worth an ask, if you have heating oil delivered ask them or the driver. How much do you go through in a year?
countryman
Not much really, just goes in to the compact tractor to cut the paths and paddock. Heating oil is not the same thing is it ? Chris
foxy bingo
ask a farmer on one of your permisions to sell you some
RED BEARD
the best bet is to ask a farmer or plant yard if they'll sell you a drum full.about 65p a litre is about the going rate, and then they'd want a drink out of it.

NIGHT SEARCHER
10 Years ago I had a mini Digger and I was buying red at 35p a litre. From a scrap yard. Also a jenny that ran on gas and that was 30p a litre. So red has doubled in price. LPG has doubled. Derv & petrol have doubled. And then you have your house Gas & Elec have more than doubled in the last 10 years. Holy Cr**. I am depressed now.
