OvEr_KiLL
maybe his miroku is a trap gun still doesnt make any difference though except it will probably be fixed with tight chokes

bostonmick
not really a question that can be answered on here as all you will get is other peoples preferences,if you get on with miroku why not stick with them in a sporter so you can do both with one gun but try a few and make your own mind up,but bearing that in mind beretta is best. TJ91
Its fixed 1/4 chokes with 26 inch barrelsPoint it in the right place and it will do the job.I used quarter choke in an old miroku last season, dropped plenty of high bird. Get the right cartridges and go for it Edited June 3, 2013 by TJ91

Browning etc
Scully
Nothing wrong with 1/4 choke for game.As has been said;put the pattern in the right place and you'll bag plenty of birds. Don't forget to forget to tell the missus of this however! Edited June 3, 2013 by Scully

kxkirk
Haha may look at just getting a fancier looking miroku spend it while I have chance

OvEr_KiLL
used beretta silver pigeon (multichoke) or used miroku mk38 sporter (multichoke) Edited June 3, 2013 by OvEr_KiLL
Sx3 clay breaker
I used my mk38 trap last 2 years on the beaters days just a little heavy

PhilR
If you're happy shooting with the Miroku then keep it as 1/4 and 1/4 won't be a hindrance to game shooting.
Paul T
You can never have too many guns... Keep the Miroku as a clay basher and spend the £800 on either: A nice 2nd hand 20g O/U for game shooting or (My preference) a nice SxS for game shooting... There's nothing quite like dropping a high bird with a SxS
wj939
Wasn't saying it to be a smart **** but sticking with a gun you can shoot well with, even if you think its not the right tool for the job, probably is. Game shooting is about confidence, if you miss a few its not the gun its you. On the other hand if a new gun gives you a boost then go buy what you fancy. I did....then ended up changing through 3 guns I couldn't get on with(probably could of persevered) to get back more or less to the one I should never have sold. Iv used browning beretta and miroku..my favourite..the miroku..what I shoot best with is the beretta. Its your gun...yours is the only opinion that counts. Alycidon
Its fixed 1/4 chokes with 26 inch barrels Thats ideal for driven game, barrels a shade short but you are used to them. As the old cowboys used to say beware the man with one gun, chances are he can use it. A

kxkirk
Think i will listen to u guys and try the miroku to start with. Will give it a clean try and convince the mrs its a new gun and hide the money for a rainy day.
figgy
Try a Browning 725 hunter, can double for both as essentially a sporter engraved with hunt scenes. A nice grade five or six MK38 sporter used would be a nice gun to keep and could do driven days without a glance. figgy
Wildfowler325
If you want a new gun for game shooting, get a Browning as they are very similar to a Miroku and you will shoot better with it over a beretta.
