bunny_blaster
Saturday morning saw me heading to Whitchurch to pick up a Baikal Hushpower .410. I've heard many good reports of these guns so I found one at the right price and had it. On the way home I stopped at my cartridge man and picked up some 18gr 7's and went to look for some pigeons. I found small flocks on spring rape and peas but no big numbers. This morning I went to look at the peas and there was a flock of about 50 birds feeding and a few joining them, I pushed them off and carried on to look at the rape. There were a few birds on the deck but after 30 mins nothing had joined them so I clapped them off and went back to the peas. The birds had started to return so I decided to set up and give the new pop gun a go. The birds proved difficult to decoy within range but after a few changes I managed to get a few to play ball. The first thing I noticed about these guns is how well they come up, I thought it would be a cumbersome old thing but it handles really well. The morning went on and the odd bird came to the pattern, I missed a fair few but also had some good shots with this wind. I never really had a need for a Hushpower shotgun and bought it just for the sake of it but Ive fallen in love with how little disturbance they cause. The only down fall is it being single shot but its certainly earned its place in the cabinet. I think a pump action is definitely on the cards next for the extra shots. I ended the morning with 27 picked, not the biggest bag but a very enjoyable and quiet one at that. Cheers Ben
colin lad
i got one and love it once you get the hang of it, i also like lamping rabbits with mine if you put a small tight beam light with pressure switch on and set the light so it hits where the center of the beam is you can even shoot from the hip on the quick ones have had a few like this colin

Rimfireboy
Well done blaster. I find eley fourlongs by far the quietest cartridge ive used in a modded fourten. Much quieter than the 18 gram subsonic loads.
stubby
you don't see many pics like that with a modded 410 lying there makes a nice change well done here you go CK I've had both 12 and 410 pedretti hushpowers, and the reason behind getting a mossberg hushpower 410, was getting fed up with that single shot
