aga man
got back off my jolly holidays yesterday and was itching to be out. had a quick reccy round last night and found a large field of rape harvested. my mate also had time off today so we thought we would give it a go despite some other shooters already had a go at weekend we arrived at lunchtime and got shooting by 1.30pm. in seperate hides at opposite ends of the field. i chose not to use a magnet as i had recently lost faith in it as it seemed to be spooking birds when shooting barley, and had just 6 deads on cradles. sport was slow to start and birds decoyed but not confidently. after an hour and only 5 birds i put a couple of deads on the magnet. instantly the birds came in. we both had some steady sport ant the woodies decoyed very well. if i had of got to position earlier and not shot like a fool my bag would have easily made the ton. but who cares i enjoyed myself and to be honest too many birds might have give me problems as flys were hurendous today. we knocked off at 6.30pm and had shot just over sixty and my mate across the way had 34. i also shot a feral but was plauged by them all afternoon and could of shot more. around 8 birds were not picked 6 of which went in the barley behind me. shamefully i fired over 125 cartridges little bit out of practice me thinks. yickdaz
well done bud we also feel we are not making bigger bags at the min hitting the 70 mark twice in 3 days but circumstances came in to play on both days but you don,t need to shoot 100 to be a good day and a good bag

JDog
I wouldn't mind betting that you spent a fair amount of time whilst you were on holiday thinking about doing exactly that. Good shooting.
