Sorry for your loss. Time spent shooting with your dog are some of the best.

I think giving up shooting because you can't find a new dog is a bit kneejerk, it took me a long time to find the right dog. If I was looking now I would be surprise if I found the one I wanted by Christmas.

Dont give up! If you fancy giving me a hand training/giving my lab some experience, We can help you pick up some bunnies till you get sorted? I'm only round the corner from you (Fairlight)

Its a sad thing when you loose your 4 legged hunting buddy. However I have found direct replacement is impossible, its like looking for a new wife just like the last - never gonna happen! Some divorces might be glad of that LOL. Many dogs could fill your Biker dog roll. A smaller yet highly intelligent breed like a Cocker might well fit to a T, a dog is what you bring it up to be so much more than its physical appearance. Don't try and find a clone, it will only lead to disappointment every dog I have owned has been a little different (that makes them interesting)Just like Slim, big breasted, long legged blonds are not all the same

Don't loose you sense of humour over it though, its still an essential component in dog training and work.
