Guest rimotu66
Ive been with NFU for a few years now, there not the cheapest (but a lot less then you have been quoted) but the policy is hard to beat, no charge for alterations, cover for a trailer up to £1000 included, you speak to a local British person when you ring them etc Its fine going for the cheapest until you have a problem. And just watch Adrian Flux and others, if you pay by instalments the credit is controlled by another company, if you want to cancel early or change you have to pay the remainder of the credit, I got caught out on this last year. ditchman
if you are over 50.try SAGA.........got my defender for £ 110.00 fully comp.......
teddy boy
try Liverpool Victoria. Adrian flux quoted a silly premium I was not prepared to pay. get a quote from L.V. then go back to A. Flux. they then re- quoted ten percent less than L.V. Must confess i'm not one who shops around but it does pay dividends at times.

simjakcal
I tried all the above mentioned,,,,yet going direct to Aviva online was the cheapest by a long way for me..it also comes down a bit if you add a couple of named drivers to the policy as well.. think I payed about £440 with break down cover on my 06 wildtrak.. Axeman1984
There must be reasons you've had a quote that high? I'm 29 have a 2.8 swb pajero which is a jap import insured with Adrian flux, I've only been driving 12 years, clean licence but I had a prank 4 years ago which was my fault, nothing serious just a minor bump but still it's on my record for another 12 months, also it's my second vehicle and I've only got 1 years no claims on it.... £300 fully comp! Gav912
Another vote for NFU, just changed my 1998 Discovery to a 2003 Defender 110 double cab with them and paying £381. Nice to be able to ring or walk into the local branch and deal with the same person each time, may not be the cheapest all the time but they do give the best service
