DSPUK
In all the 35 yrs I have had a garden overlooking a field this is first year one has been planted with corn - It's just as though someone has built a 10ft fence at bottom of garden - we can't see ****** all - anyone one know when the corn will be ripe and cut as I can't wait - give me wheat anyday. al4x
Get ready for loads more of it, there is loads round here to feed bio gas digesters, with all the funding for Eco electricity you will see more and more planted as it seems to work quite well

DSPUK
To me it's corn as in corn on cob - never heard of maize on the cob - but stand to be corrected by country folk. Anyway at moment I might as well live in a town - can't see nowt. Dave
kennett
Corn on the cob you eat is sweetcorn. The stuff grown for cattle feed, game cover or biodigestion is maize and if for the biodigester will be cut any time now, not sure about fodder but probably soon and game cover will be there till its smashed up, probably February march time.
