hi guys today me, driller and his creator fenntiger went to shoot a barley field that has been cut now 2 or 3 weeks, when we got there we could only see one bird flying so moral wasn't just that high, so we drove to the other side were to be honest there was quite a few feeding in bits and bats all over the field,so we set up another monster hide ready for a so so day, once we started shooting they did seem to wake up and go quiet again but we were still fetching them down with out realizing how many we were actually shooting, yet again the birds where hard work to get to the decoys but we were under 2 flight lines so it did help again just when we were getting in to the swing of it a bloke who was racing his pigeons came over and asked us politely if we would stop as it would put his birds off coming in so we decided to stop even though it was at the best time of day, any way we ended up with 139 even though i honestly know we could of had the 200 mark again if diick dastardly wasn't after catching his racing pigeons, but we can always go back as it was his last race today and were all still friends, the picture is of me and fenntiger as driller won't put his face to any thing less than 200 ha ha,oh ye we sold them all to a game dealer again on the way home which is very good news,so the game fair tomorrow and another good day today, cheer simon...

I am enjoying reading your posts, not only because of the excellent bags which you are reporting but the obvious enjoyment which you are getting from being out with your buddies - oh and a certain amount of humour comes through too.

cheers jdod,as said don't think i can take any thing serious any more ,but when diick dastardly came over it did knock the smiles off our faces,ha ha especially when they where still coming in

Hi Simon,

I personally think that, by stoping your shooting, to allow the racing pigeon to go back, it's very decent of you all, that's the kind of attitude that enhance and promotes the profile of our beloved passion for wood pigeon control and well done for your bag too.
