Highbird70
I believe it appropriate to dress for the occasion. It doesn't matter if this is for a shoot, work, nightclub, holiday, wedding, funeral, whatever! 192a.jpg Wow that's some weather there

WGD
I have 3 pairs of plus 4's from Haggarts. A pair for driven or smart days, a pair for stalking/rough shooting/picking up and a pair for foxing. In short I wear plus 4's for everything simply because they are the most comfortable and versatile clothing for below the waist. I always wear collar and tie when shooting driven days or when I am paid for picking up. Outer wear is weather and activity dependant but my Harkila Pro Hunter is never far away, or an old Deer Hunter Rusky for the grubby activities. Hat is either a tweed cap or a fore & aft. I would have a tweed shooting vest and a jacket and waistcoat for driven days, but I don't do enough of them to justify the cost of decent quality tweed. shoot and be safe
Mine are on order, should be ready for November. Fair play to the lady who took my measurements, we had quite a laugh. Didn't think there were that many measurements to take for a pair of plus 4's. I was touched in places that only my mother touched when I was a baby She was lost for words when I said you best be quick with that measurement, it will start to increase if you don't hurry up When they arrive, I will post the pic. figgy
Full outfit for me. I bought a full lot of two pair of breaks, gillet and jacket with matching flat cap. Also have a various hats from Le Chamau felt fedora to a deerstalker with silk ribbons tied on top, also bought a very snazzy Ratcatcher waistcoat in yellow gold with gold buttons and multi coloured check stripes. My shooting stockings are very smart and have a few different ones from dusky blue with pink and lilac patterns to match the different ties I also have. New colour for each season and a new hat of differing styles. Had blues and pinks, burnt orange and mustard, deep reds and marroon, brown and gold. Hmm what next for this season. I do get some ribbing for it but its all part of it, you must strut and swagger to your peg with stick and gun taking it all in your stride. I wear different combinations whenever the mood takes me on the day. Always better to go dressed to the nines than be thought a scruffy ****, and adds to the occasion. Get some looks in the pub later. Get yourself properly attired and enjoy the day. Ps don't forget the matching garters and some cuff links Figgy Edited September 20, 2013 by figgy

figgy
Very smart if a bit restrained. When you get used to wearing it and not feeling a plonker you might start going for some bright colours. Figgy
