It looked like the guy that he hit was slaging him off then got in front of him and slowed down if it was me being surounded with a load of nutters on bikes I would have done just as he did I would probably have tacken more of them out.

Now we will get all of the silly old born again bikers defending them.

What about the comments under the video

And where were the police? When seconds count the police are only minutes away.

These guys are the reason I always carry a handgun in the car where ever I go, not to mention a couple high capacity magazines. (Reloading takes time you know.) A couple rounds to the chest from Mr. Glock and the douche bag biker won't be causing any trouble

I really wanted to punch that person. There are so many variables we don't know. But sod it, blast away!

Yeah, and I'm sure you'd tell them that to their face.

I'm a biker and no, I'm not going to condone what we saw. There was obviously an issue prior to this incident and, until we know what that was it's impossible to judge. BUT, does the fact that they were trying to slow/stop him justify running over another person, let alone several? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have stopped either, particularly if I had the family in the car, but riding roughshod straight over the top was bloody stupid never mind potentially lethal. As Gordon has already said, call the Police and stay in the car. He got his window smashed in after risking someones life.

I have to say, if someone drove over one of my mates and sped off, my reaction would be unlikely to be mild.

It's in the middle of an organised ride, there's going to be a lot of bikes about. Most of them won't have taken what he did well, as an ex biker yourself you'll know that for many it's an extended family/brotherhood.

I only actually saw one attack him, personally I'd have been more interested in getting him stopped and arrested and to be honest he'd already run people over so I'm not surprised they preferred to go after him in numbers.. He reacted badly and THAT was what escalated it...in my opinion of course.

Your surrounded by a gang and you have a wife and your child in the car will you not be fearing for the safety of your wife and child as well as your own?

Personally the driver of the 4x4 made the right choice. As Im sure most will do anything to keep his family safe no matter what.

My daughter was knocked off her motorbike at a rally, by a van driver that didn't stop.

About 50 bikes went after him and stopped him going anywhere, until the police arrived.

Nobody attacked the driver and he was not at risk, but he should not have driven off.

The chap in New York saying he was worried about his family, was probably just as worried about losing his licence and having his insurance premium increase.

He should have stayed at the incident and remained in his car until the police arrived.

You can bet they weren't far away with a big bike rally taking place.

Be interesting to see if the Police see it that way when this all shakes out.

Even if the driver was in an incident before the video why surround him and make him feel like his and his family lives are in danger? why not have a couple of bikers stop him while the rest hang back? Two wrongs dont make a right. Is it really big and brave to just gang up and attack them like a pack of wolves?

One thing that struck me about that vidio was from the begining it seemed to me that the bikers had no idea how to ride on a motorway they had no lane sence at all they seemed to be like a sworm of wasps all over the place do they not understand that you do not overtake on the inside it would seem no.

The way that I see it it is like if you have a wasp bothering you one wasp is a pest two wasps is a pain a sworm of wasps you run for cover and that is what the guy did bikers have not got the best of reputations for being nice people unless that is you are one of them.
