Suffolk shooter
Whilst it is in everydog to become aggressive (Recessed Gene from the days of being a wild dog/wolf), their training and surroundings have a hell of alot to do with the nature of a dog. Some dogs are more tolerant of noise, being rubbed when asleep etc. whilst others aren't. I have a two year old golden lab retriever who used to come indoors during the day from the conservatory until we had our second daughter in April. He now stays in the conservatory except when the little 'un is in bed and i am there. I refuse to put my dog in a position where it is possible that harm maybe done. I would never forgive myself if something happened to my daughter and the Dog who knows no better has to be destroyed because of it. I the owner and Parent have to take responsibility and this is the best solution. He has met with the little 'un and she has stroked him when I am there, again it's not I don't trust him, it's just wrong to assume nothing will happen. Now the little un is crawling around and starting to stand up, the summer months will be here quicker than we know it and I will ensure that she is in the garden with the dog, and that they bond together so the dog doesn't see her as a threat or try to be the alpha male over her. He knows his place with me and my wife and my eldest daughter, but has to learn again. Hodmedod, that's a real beauty there mate Cheers SS :o

Peter_HMR
Once a lab goes bad its bad but unless you give it reason to it wont they'll tolerate alot but as was said dont put them in that position train them how to behave Remember our old white lab the knackers came to the door before and you want to see the hair rise up on her had to hold her back she would have went for them and this is a house pet we were kids at the time and used to play with her the whole time and ride on her back usually stuff and she was a gun dog also but the change once the knackers came was something still remember it. Have to say as well to this day there hasnt been another one around and thats more than 10 years.

Looks like script writing Think you will find it's a doggy ID number incase he is found wandering or is stolen. Nice dog i have a soft spot for pooches i have to admit even when i was shooting i had to make a fuss of the gun dogs Have been bitten more times than i care to remember too last one was a Bull Mastiff took a liking to my hand in a BIG way and left me a rather nice LOVE bite. My hand got infected and i had to have a course of tablets to sort it out. Still like the dog though it still don't like me LG
the last engineer
Nice looking dog, you will have to post a pic of its other half sometime. why do you want to look at the rear end of that dog Cranfiled ? seriously though a good friend of mine has had an English bull ever since his son was born, practicaly inseprable, thats not to say he leaves it unatended. and an old driving instructor i knew in Clifton Bristol had a brother and sister named Agro and Ugly, god did the names suit had German Shepards all my youth, one thing yo u learn with dogs is treat them with the same respect you'd want yourself, the bennefits of which are rewarded 100 x's over Martin one of my old girls
