johnbaz Posted February 3, 2011 Report Share Posted February 3, 2011 ahh ive got one of those old BSAs but doesnt have that large piece under the barrel.. is that some sort of mechanism to cock it? mabey our one was made slightly later becasue it doesnt have that nor does it to apear to have had one previously.. nice guns though Hi It sounds like yours is a break barrel in which you use the barrel as the lever to cock the rifle, mine is an underlever and as you said, the long bit under the barrel is the cocking lever Do you have a pic of yours or a serial number??, it can probably be identified from the letter/ letters preceding the serial number..
